So the real question is when tRump gets back on social media will it be politically better for the Democrats or worse. tRump tends to piss off as many or more people as he energizes. As he cannot let any grudge go and is constantly rehashing the past grievances I think it will turn off voters more than energize the Republican base. So I think it is OK if they let tRump back on. What do you think on this?

Former President Trump plans to partially restrict himself from using Twitter, according to a new federal securities filing from the blank check company taking his social network, Truth Social, public.
Why it matters: Trump previously said he wouldn’t return to Twitter, even if reinstated by Elon Musk, but many believe it’s a hollow promise.
What the filing says: “President Trump is generally obligated to make any social media post on TruthSocial and may not make the same post on another social media site for 6 hours. Thereafter, he is free to post on any site to which he has access. Thus, TMTG has limited time to benefit from his posts and followers may not find it compelling to use TruthSocial to read his posts that quickly.
In addition, he may make a post from a personal account related to political messaging, political fundraising or get-out-the-vote efforts on any social media site at any time.”
Between the lines: This certainly seems to give Trump a massive out, given the caveat about “political messaging.” But would restrict Trump tweets on purely social issues, business matters, etc.
What to know: Truth Social still isn’t a sure bet to go public, as the blank check company appears to still be under federal securities investigation (per the filing).
The bottom line: This filing was written in a way to hedge in case Trump runs again for president.

Scottie, when a person says he knows far more than he does, he cannot help proving himself wrong time and time again. The more he exposes his banter to people, the more they can see how far short he falls from his stated claims of great understanding. “Keith

Hello Keith. Thank you for your input. I have a bad bias when it comes to tRump from long before he became president. My husband worked for trump at Mar-a-Largo as the nighttime butler / supervisor. Ron has a much slower anger trigger than I do, but I hated the way tRump acted, the way he treated employees, the things he did. To people who say he is not homophobic or racist I can tell you yes, he is, big time.
I say that because my bias may color my thoughts on if he should be allowed back on twitter. When he lost access to the platform, he lost a lot of his power over time until he is now down to his core cult members. The question I am trying to work out is the outrage that tRump will cause worth enduring in order to have his repeated lies on media? Will it help the Republicans or hurt them if tRump returns to social media full time? One of the clear reasons Biden won was people were voting against tRump, not for Biden. What do you think?

I think we need to keep our fingers crossed that Twitter doesn’t change hands.
tRump may turn off some people with his incessant prattle, but there are untold numbers that consider him to be their political “god” so they hang onto every word, thought, or deed that emanates from him. Plus, in some instances, they even carry out his “godly” commands … as was witnessed on January 6th.

Hello Nan. You are correct, it could go very badly for the country and the non-radicalized people. tRump can inspire his followers to violently target his opponents. Remember the body building guy with the van plastered in posters and stickers of tRump targets that sent bombs through the mail to a lot of those targets? We have all seen how he can get average people to totally disregard reality. Hugs

I trust that creature of privilege, media circus and White Intolerance even less distance than I could throw him (on a flat surface that is).
If tRump were to say the World was round, I would at least do Flat Earth believers the curiosity of visiting their websites to view their arguments.

Hello deteremineddespitewp. I love it. Yes he is lying. As soon as he is allowed, he will be back on twitter, he loves the attention it gives him. The thing is the company backing his new media company is warning investors of all tRump’s failures. How is that for a smackdown, the people he pays to raise money are telling people not to trust him. Hugs

Yeah Scottie.
This where the weirdness of The Cult comes in. Against all the rational evidence folk will still invest their faith in dangerously flawed folk
