Scottie, good piece. Isn’t it nice to see a civil discussion over an important topic? Keith

Hello Keith. Yes, it is. There are clearly two or more sides to the issues and more than a few pieces of the puzzle but the fact is nothing gets done by angry yelling and trash talk. I don’t mind people having an agenda or a group they prefer to prioritize / protect as we all do it. It would be nice of people would just admit where they stand. What I mind is the gaslighting and obfuscation. And part of that is the anger and demeaning rhetoric used by those not wanting their positions known. Why not just say what you want to happen, what your bias is? Then let it stand up to a fact check. I want that. That is why I like Jon Stewart, he doesn’t get angry, he admits his bias, but he asks the questions letting the other person answer but also points out facts / reality. One of the most heart-breaking things I ever seen was Kellyanne Conway claiming that the former guy did not lie but used alternative facts. A generation of young people are growing up with that. I can tell you the response my generation got by proclaiming alternative facts as kids. Hugs
