So it happened again. I had started adding to this page at 7 am while watching news. I was almost read to post it, but wanted to add a short YouTube clip. I forgot to start a new block, and when it appear on the page it wiped out 26 memes I had so far added. I had to go back through the history and open each of them in a new tab. I will now add them back in below. Damn WordPress and their need / love for the block editor. Hugs. Scottie

Scottie, feel free not to delve into this if you don’t want to. what is it about blocks on wordpress that bothers you? Can you not save your post as you go so you don’t lose 26 memes in one fell swoop?

Hi Susan. I got use to posting in classic when I could put all of my content in one swoop with out have to jump from block to block. It did not matter if it was words, images, videos, or a link. Plus in classic I could easily control the font, the quoting, the color with just the click of a button at the top. It was so simple. Plus every spell check program I had worked with it.
With the block to write I have to fight to get a color and then have to manually adjust it, I have very limited choices of style or fonts, no choice of quote or other things, and if I am writing and need to post an image or video I have to leave that block and start another. Until recently none of my spell check programs would work with the block system. To me the way I post it is inconvenient and frustrating. I hate it. If block had been the way it was when I first started blogging I wouldn’t have bothered. Hugs. Scottie
