    Any Sgt. or Lt. worth the paperwork it took to make him one would have had their ass for that. A: the tackler put his own safety at risk by initiating physical contact where none actually needed. B: they could simply have gotten in their car and driven ahead of the bicyclist. C: they opened the city to a law suit. And, all this to tell someone “Hey, you need to put a light on your bicycle for safety”? Nice job. In any other job they would have been fired for their stupidity. Here, they get a pissing contest honorable mention.
