Misleading right wing media cartoons / memes
I think they are going to try. I really believe that the Republicans have given up on democracy. They don’t want it. They want power, they want to rule. Yes they will have a fake sort of democracy like China, Russia, and other authoritarian nations that have sham elections of either one party or set up so only one party can win. That is what Putin does, he jails or kills his opponents and wins almost all the votes. Think of what the Republicans have done this last year with changing election supervisors and laws, all designed so they can change any vote they disagree with. Our democracy hangs by a thread, we should be worried. Scottie

Hello Ten Bears. I bet that raised a few eyebrows. I loved the Far Side. I have a few off center cartoons in my daily batch but I don’t think cartoonists are as willing to step out on the edge much these days. Scottie

As a follow-up… I’d guess you’re doing drag-n-drop. I base that assumption on the ‘share’ icon on some of the memes. I’d suggest drag from where you see them to a folder on your computer to make sure you have your ‘own'(snicker) copy, THEN drag to the place on the page you want them.
Mind you, I’ve never been a part of wordpress, so I could be completely wrong.
Side note: Yellowdog Granny has had her page deleted/blocked by blogspot.
If theres any suggestions/help you can give her… maybe she can get it back.

Hello Tod. About 2/3rds the 400 pages I go to I can just right click copy and paste. Some of those I have to double click before doing the
let copy and paste. The other 1/3 I have to save the cartoon to a folder and then use WordPress classic to insert the cartoon in the post. I normally don’t have an issue with them not showing up, other than some browsers have an issue displaying tweets depending on security. The ones that did not display on that post were from one site I went to only that day. It was a year end review of a cartoonist that I went to from his twitter page, I suspect the newspaper that he drew for had a code in the cartoons that they wouldn’t display if taken from the site.
I do not know how to fight BlogSpot. I never cared for Google as a site host. She could switch to a WordPress blog but I would strongly suggest she goes with WordPress.com and not WordPress.org as the .org is a half one and half the other system that some functions don’t work as well if at all. There is different tiers on WordPress.com hosting from free to very expensive. I run the second tier, I use to have the third tier called business. I wish her the very best. If she wants to contact me at my email I will try to help her if I can, but there are much more knowledgeable people than I. Scottie

Hello Tod. Thank you for letting me know. I cannot understand why they are not showing up. I did go to a different cartoon site and the cartoons seem to have pasted OK. Maybe it is a site where I have to download each one to embed it? Not sure how to fix the missing panels as they don’t even show when I go to edit. I am glad you like the roundup; it is my favorite to post. Takes a lot of time and I can see something went wrong I am going to have to watch out for. Have a great weekend. Scottie
