Hi Scottie;
Nice to see a high ranking public official acting with such class and decorum in the face of disappointment.
When I was in high school, I can imagine this happening. I can imagine one of the high school CHILDREN acting this way towards another KID in the hallways. Most over the age of 12 would have considered him – in the vernacular of the time – a douchebag, while his own bully friends would have yuk-yuk’d behind him in forms of support.
Unfortunately, this is not high school, and yet he is still acting the immature bully. But, with the difference in age and station in life comes interesting consequences. As an adult, especially, that is considered an assault. Yep, that’s a felony, folks, as well as a tort. Further, since it was in the attempt to disrobe said official, it becomes a form of sexual assault. Hmm? Isn’t that a mandatory reportable offense in a school environment?
Ok, that is all riding the edge a bit, I doubt he will be held accountable legally. Oh, wait! He’s a public figure. Oh, so I bet he will be held accountable by his party. Oh, never mind. He’s a republican. I’m surprised he even bothered to say “my bad”.
Well, since it’s a Christian school, allow me to ~quote the Bible: “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child”, but when I became a republican I really embraced childish behavior!
Hugs,
randy

Hello Randy. Again I am very impressed with how smart you are. I admit I did not think of any other than political angles of this. Yes you are very correct on all of it. If he had been a Democrat, he would have been mocked and removed from office by his own party. I just have to wonder what example at home does he present to his children? Should an investigation be conducted? Scottie

Thing is … Christians like to think they’re better/different than your average bear, but in reality when faced with a stressful/angry situations as illustrated in this video — they are NO different! And this jerk proved it.

Hello Nan. I agree. But to me it seems so much worse when political leaders and religious people both categories that hold themselves out as superior to others. I think they should be held to a higher standard. Do you think those that are found to be hypocrites should face stronger punishments than those who comit the same offence yet don’t have a leadership or stated religious affiliation? I think so but am not sure how to enforce something like that. It would be like the hate crime designation on crimes, it increases the sentence. Scottie
