Republicans Don’t Want Us To Have Nice Things

Again another grand post. I love the way the post starts, “Because the Republicans will never raise taxes and because the real goal is to privatize the Social Safety Net, …” So much of the harm and hurt in this country is directly caused by the greed of the wealthy craving more money than they could ever use in a lifetime while ignoring the suffering of those who struggle just to have something to eat or have shelter. As always the comments were enlightening, but fixing the funding issue is not the problem the wealthy want to address. In order to gouge as much money from the lower incomes as possible, the wealthy need a desperate work force willing to take any job at the lowest wage under the worst conditions. That maximizes the profit for corporations. That is why they conspired together to kill unions and are terrified of the current conditions giving workers the ability to demand better wages and working conditions. That is why the fed are using the false narrative they have to cause unemployment to stop inflation, rather than addressing price gouging and out of control record corporate profits. Pain for the lower incomes, luxury and joy for the upper incomes. Hugs
