Recent comments on my repost of Ten Bears preachers sermon where he stresses that real Christians don’t do Worldly politics but prepare for heaven, reminded me of my few years as a recovering battered teen in the SDA church. They had approved books and music, I loved one of the soft rock bands called Petra. The song that Ten Bears reminded me of is below. I really felt like that song, that I was not of this world. Even as an atheist I still enjoy that song. I would think modern Christians would embrace it. Hugs. Scottie

I like Pearl Jam.
And Lincoln Park, AC/DC, Led Zep, and others. No Skynyrd or GunsNRoses ever, and there’s probaby some more. I listen to what they call “Christian” music if I’m in an establishment where it’s playing. I don’t like much of the stuff that is said between the songs, and most of the people I know who listen, talk about it a lot, in a certain tone. I also never did get into contemporary Gospel/Christian/whatever they call it. George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord” and J.C. Superstar may be the exceptions.
