Yesterday, the first I read about Kirk and Shapiro’s problems with ASL interpreters was on Vixen’s blog; this video came directly into my mind, so put the link over there. As the day went on, there was more and more BS about picking on the hearing impaired, so I made a post. Because this video is a great response to those who are offended and inconvenienced by ASL interpreters informing people on-the-spot.

I laughed when she glanced toward the camera, clearly saw some kind of thumbs up from the TA holding the camera, probably – big smile. Great choice of songs for her project, and, I have to assume, great signing!

I think I recall that she not only passed with flying colors, she got an offer. But it’s been a few years. This video was the first thing that came to my mind when I read about Shapiro and Kirk complaining about ASL interpreters at news conferences.
