The other day, I mentioned the daffodils coming up even after the dirt had been moved to put piers under the house. I got a pic yesterday before the windstorm moved in, with the first blossom.
Beyond that for health breaks, I’ve been walking and playing with Ollie. He got pretty tuckered out, but he’s still looking to play ball some more if someone else starts the game. Meanwhile, he’s catching 40 winks.

my dafs are up…and managed to survive the winds yesterday. Nt iris are breaking through, and tulips are about to bloom Hope we’ve seen the last of the awful weather for a while. We’re ok…the fires were all around us but Enid was spared.

I’m thankful you were spared, and things are calmer today! Up here, too. The daffodils have mostly bloomed, and we’re to have a freeze on Wednesday night, so I’ll get to see it all over again in a week or so! What a world, eh?
I’m glad you’re ok, and that the dust didn’t affect you, or too badly, anyway. I think dust covering everything is the way things are again. Could be worse!

Hi. Ali it is a grand way to health break walking with a family member. I walked Ron for a bit this morning also. Ok well before winter we were both doing well with our morning walks. Then it got too cold for me and he hurt his knee so we stopped walking. Now we are starting over getting into it. Ron was as worn out as Ollie. It is grand to see Ollie and he sure looks like a happy pup. What kind of breed is he? Oh and the foundation work? I hope it turned out well, but I imagine it was messy for a while. Hugs

Ollie is presumed to be part dachshund, part corgi. He’s a real charmer, now that he knows he’s home. I’m so thankful for him!
Ugh, the foundation work. I was just so amazed those daffodils showed up, though! Anyway, part of the work didn’t work right, and they have to come back this Tuesday. I’m glad I did it because I’ve noticed things like doors closing and staying closed, fewer squeaks and creaks, and so forth so I don’t have to wonder about the house collapsing or whatever, but I wish I’d never done any of it. This is one of those houses that, to even replace a door, you end up doing 99 other things before you can put the new door up. I’ve been so tempted to call one of the cash-for-homes people, but there isn’t anywhere else to live, really, where I know I can have a dog, and not worry if the place sells out from under me. So, I’m still here! I think after these projects finish, though, I’m done with improvement for a while. sheesh. It’d make one long post to tell about it, but maybe in a few days, maybe. It could make a funny post.

Hi Ali. Oh how I understand the shifting house. We live in a double wide mobile home that had been expanded. Hurricane Ian kept trying to lift our home up and slam it down. We have a couple broken anchor straps. We need to get those replaced / fixed. The floors became un even as part of the house sank some on one side. The door issue is one I understand well. Trying to install cabinets and other things is hard because the walls are no longer square. Door frames and window jams have to be jimmied to fit correctly. Ron plans to take the floors up and re-level the house. Some day. As to the post. I would read a post about your repairs, I got one in the works myself. Hugs
