  1. I LOL’ed at the coffee one. Back when we lived in NY (We lived in Yonkers) I had fo fight to get a cup of black coffee without sugar or milk. The deli counter and bodega people acted like I’d just asked for extra engine oil in my coffee.

    (and it was not bad coffee, either. I never, ever got a bad cup of coffee in a deli or bodega. The legend about NYC water is true…it does mostly come from pristine water sources ‘upstate’, in fact the aqueduct ran right behind our apartment building in Yonkers. )
