It amazes me, but maybe it shouldn’t, that our community all reads the same blogs.  Thank you Tengrian for posting this, It is such important information on who news media works for.   The wealthy people in this story are arrested, yet all the blame From the media is placed on the poor people stealing the stuff for 7 to 10 cents on the dollar of what the wealthy people sold it for.  Yes think on it.  For at least four or more years, maybe for others the right has blamed the poor homeless people for shoplifting, but like a lot of stories on car thefts, the real money is not to the thieves doing the stealing, it is the resale of the items by wealthy people that were making the real profit.   The poor people were as always being used as the villains when the wealthy people behind the entire operation but normally they don’t get mentioned or ever blamed.  Right wing media has been going on for years about poor black neighborhoods and claiming that Target moved out of those areas due to theft even Target told their stockholders it was because the stores were underperforming on profit compared to the cost of the rent and they only moved a couple miles down the road.  So that is what the right wing news is spewing and what garbage we have to debunk and correct.  

That is like the republican State of the Union rebuttal.  It was all a lie, but the right wing media will never tell their cult like followers of that.   Not only did it happen when George Bush was president, it also did not happen in the US but in Mexico.  So what is important is that the woman who is trafficked is now 32 years old, yet Katie Britt also claimed she went to the US southern border and talked to a 12 year old who suffered trafficking.  What the fuck.   But again their cult viewers won’t ever see the truth and will believe that is happening right now.   Hugs.  Scottie

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) lashed out at a British reporter on Tuesday night who asked her about Jewish space lasers, telling the broadcaster to “fuck off.”

MTG was approached by former BBC journalist Emily Maitlis at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Super Tuesday. What started out as a fairly amicable exchange rapidly went off the rails when Greene was asked about conspiracy theorists among the former president’s supporters—and Greene’s own history of truly unhinged speculations.

Maitlis—the journalist who conducted the infamous 2019 interview with Prince Andrew about his ties with Jeffrey Epstein—began by asking Greene about what message Nikki Haley should take from her latest round of primary defeats. “Well, we’ve been encouraging her to drop out and support President Trump and I think tonight is the clear message that President Trump is the clear frontrunner, he’s the winner in our Republican primary, and it’s time for Nikki Haley to drop out and support him,” Greene replied.

Maitlis also asked Greene if she thought she herself should be on Trump’s list of potential running mates. “No, I don’t think Nikki Haley should be on the list,” Greene answered, apparently mishearing the question. Asked if she would like to be in contention for Trump’s vice president herself, Greene replied: “He’s got a long list—I support President Trump in any way, any way he’d ask me. But I can assure you it won’t be Nikki Haley.”

 

The cordial interview then took a turn. “Can you tell me why so many people that support Donald Trump love conspiracy theories, including yourself? He seems to attract lots of conspiracy theorists.”

“Well, let me tell you, you’re a conspiracy theorist,” Greene replied, pointing at Maitlis. “And the left and the media spreads more conspiracy theories. We like the truth, we like supporting our Constitution, our freedoms, and America First.”

As the MAGA lawmaker attempted to walk away, Maitlis asked: “What about Jewish space lasers? Tell us about Jewish space lasers.”

The question related to a 2018 Facebook post in which Greene suggested there were “too many coincidences to ignore” around the devastating Camp Fire in California, claiming that people reported seeing “what looked like lasers or blue beams of light causing the fires” and that an executive of “Rothschild Inc, international investment banking firm” could be involved. After speculating in the post that “space solar generators” could be behind the wildfires, Greene later dismissed her crackpot theory as having been a “sarcastic social media post.”

“Why don’t you go talk about Jewish space lasers,” Greene replied to Maitlis. “And really, why don’t you fuck off? How about that?”

“Thanks, thank you very much,” the British broadcaster replied.

This is a threat.  Look at what they called it in the article, a loving warning to change your ways … just as burning a cross was a threat, not simply a loving request you leave town.  The thing that gets me is no one cares if these people want to have their belief and their opinion, no one cares that they refuse to admit modern science says people are born LGBTQIA as long as they don’t act on it.  They have a right to their beliefs, they do not have a right to force others to believe what they do.  Yet this is what they constantly do, and are doing here.   They have their churches, put these at their churches and pray over them.  But that is not threatening enough, not enough to force others to live by their church doctrines and beliefs.   I am tired of these people and sick of their faith, and beginning to despise their god.  Their god is a hateful vengeful mean bully.  He is tRump.  Love me or else I hurt you.   Hugs.  Scottie

Last year, on February 28, 2023, a concrete replica of a millstone was left in front of the CRU Wine Bar and Coffee Shop on Turner Street in Beaufort, NC. Not just any millstone, but cast into its face was the Scripture reference Luke 17:2 and it’s inner and outer rims were painted in rainbow colors.

CRU Wine Bar and Coffee Shop had been sponsoring a “Youth Queer Night,” and openly admitted as such in the midst of the incident. But right out of the leftist playbook, they immediately shifted over to victim status, pleading the millstone was a threat to them and the LGBTQ community.

Far from being a threat to the LGBTQ community, the Rainbow Stone is actually a loving warning that, like everyone else, they need to repent of sin, receive the work of Jesus on the Cross, and be saved from a certain fiery judgment.

Read the full article. Luke 17:2 calls for drowning people who endanger children by tying a millstone around their neck. The owners of the bar say they considered the millstone to be a death threat.

Why do the republicans hate young people on social media?   Because it exposes them to ideas that are now banned in Florida schools.  It is about information control, it is about indoctrination to a conservative mindset / ideology.  Think of it, even though the republicans managed to remove all reading material from schools about LGBTQIA people so LGBTQIA kids won’t see themselves represented and other students won’t see that the LGBTQIA kids are as normal as they are, young people can still see it on social media where the stars they love tell them that it is OK to be different.  Plus social media clearly shows how wrong and backwards the Republican Party is, and how out of touch a minority the fundamentalist Christians are.   Then you have the times that social media influences older teens to vote progressive / democrat, not regressive conservative like the state wants them to do.  Social media also makes republicans and maga look as stupid as they are, mocking them, and showing young people out of touch with the modern times the fundamentalist Christian republicans are.   Hugs.   Scottie

Florida Politics reports:

Language for a new social media bill with provisions for parental consent has been filed in the Senate. The move came after Gov. Ron DeSantis vetoed an all-out ban on those under 16 using most social media platforms.

Sen. Erin Grall, a Fort Pierce Republican, filed an amendment with new language negotiated with the House, Senate and Governor’s Office. The legislation includes exemptions for 14- and 15-year-olds to open accounts on any platform so long as they have a parent’s permission.

“A social media platform shall prohibit a minor who is 14 or 15 years of age from entering into a contract with a social media platform to become an account holder, unless the minor’s parent or guardian provides consent for the minor to become an account holder,” the amendment states.

Read the full article. The bill vetoed yesterday by DeSantis would have banned all minors under age 16 from having a social media account.
