Extremist Ex-GOP Rep Is Up To Something In Ukraine
The Seattle Times reports:
Former Washington state Rep. Matt Shea, the far-right Republican who was found by a House-commissioned investigation to have planned and participated in domestic terrorism, is in a small town in Poland with more than 60 Ukrainian children, trying to facilitate their adoption in America.
Shea has said his group helped rescue 62 children and their two adult caregivers from an orphanage in Mariupol, the city in southeastern Ukraine that has been bombarded by Russian forces.
“I asked him many times, ‘What are you going to do with these children?’ and he told me that it’s not my business,’” Weronika Ziarnicka, an aide to the mayor of Kazimierz Dolny, said of Shea. “I got the feeling in my gut that something’s wrong with this guy; he didn’t want to tell me his last name.”

Shea first earned national headlines in 2019 when leaked chats showed his violent fantasies about executing non-Christians and when it was learned that he had participated in militia drills to train young men for “biblical warfare.”
Shea advocates for the creation of a 51st US state based on “biblical law.” He has also said that all American men who fail to avow allegiance to Jesus should be executed.
He was expelled by the Washington state Republican caucus but refused to resign even after the feds found that he had “participated in an act of domestic terrorism against the United States” by helping plan the armed takeover of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge in Oregon in 2016.
He did not seek reelection in 2020 and is now the pastor of Covenant Christian Church in Spokane.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Wednesday slammed President Joe Biden for sending more military aid to Ukraine, and said that things would be better off if Ukrainians just gave up their efforts to resist the Russian invasion.
In a Facebook address to her supporters, Greene laid out the case against helping the Ukrainians with more weapons.
“If we truly care about suffering and death on our television screens, we cannot fund more of it by sending money and weaponry to fight a war they cannot possibly win!” she said. “The only effect of more arms and more money from America will be to prolong the war!”
Greene went on to say that America was giving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his people “false hope about a war they can’t win.”
In fact, many military experts think that Russia’s invasion has broadly stalled, and Ukraine reports that it has killed four different Russian generals after less than a month of fighting, which suggests that the possibility for victory by the Ukrainians is far from hopeless.
Greene concluded by saying that she wanted to stop the Ukrainain arms shipments because “as Christians” she didn’t want to produce “any more human suffering.”

Notice that she never mentioned that Russia should pull back or stop but that all her Christian love of life was directed at the Ukrainians stopping defending themself. I wonder which one is her reason, the white supremacy of Russia, the religious takeover of public life, or the hateful attempt to erase the LGBTQ+. Is she a paid sponsor of Putin’s or just a useful idiot like her beloved cult leader tRump?
