Ron is out grocery shopping. I want to start going with him, and have a few times, but lately I am not up to it and there are things I need to take care of while he is shopping. I was doing the dishes so he would have counters to put the groceries on when he got home. Yes, I am tired. But the funniest thing happened while I was doing them.
It has been cold on and off here in Florida during January and February. This last few nights it has been around 46 degrees or lower at sunrise. So before he goes to bed Ron turns the radiator on low with the temp dial about 72. The heater we have in our bedroom bathroom heats both rooms and as I get up about every hour to pee, when it gets cool enough I turn it on. Between the both of them they heat the main space and we keep the other doors closed until it warms up outside. Also the electronics in the Pink Palace keep the room about 74 on the coldest nights so far. I just have to remember to leave the computers up and running with the door closed.
So to the point of the post, while I was doing the dishes Odie wanted food. I gave it to him. But Odie is older, we think at least 12 but more likely older, and not in the best health. So while I went back to doing dishes after he finished eating, he went to the radiator heater that he often lays next to when it is running. We have noticed that when it is active he will lay near it or against it. He clearly loves the warm heat coming off it.
So he finished eating, came out, stretched out next to the heater. But no heat came out. So he got closer. Then he tried hitting it with his paw. Finally, as I was rushing to get my phone, I saw him rubbing his face on the fins. Yes even though the house was warm enough I gave in and turned on the radiator to the lower setting. But that was not working fast enough for him and he was getting upset so I went over and activated the medium 1,600 watt setting. That made it heat up fast enough and he laid back down next to it happy. As he fell asleep, I turned it back to the lower watt setting. Below is the pictures of our really spoiled fat cat. Hugs. The way Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) won the right to meet in schools is through the federal Equal Access Act (EAA) of 1984. Any school that permits non-curriculum related student groups must provide equal access to all student groups, and that includes equal access for GSAs. I’m no lawyer, but I wonder if this law can be used in this way.

My entire adult life I’ve believed that there are far more LGBTQ people than are willing to step forward, own it and live it. Don’t underestimate our determination to live our lives freely and openly on helping younger generations to break free of the old taboos. And organized religion, particularly Christianity, is doomed. The shine is off the apple 🍎 and everyone with clarity can see it’s rotten to the core.
Most people are at least a little bit bi. A younger generation is willing to admit that to themselves and to pollsters. The only thing new here is the honesty. There aren’t MORE lgbt people. I agree. It’s something I’ve always believed and I’m old. My personal life experiences have shown me that most people’s sexuality is somewhat fluid. Not a few self identified straight women I’ve known were more than interested in my sexualty. Life teaches a lot of unexpected lessons

I have a grand niece that’s declared she’s a boy, so I guess I have a grand nephew now! My granddaughter claims to be bi. In both cases, I’m glad they’re exploring their options and I talked with them about the possibility they may shift again or not. They’re 13 and 14 and both claim they haven’t had any sex yet. I also told them that at some point, they’ll know for sure and not to worry. They’re both awesome kids.
I’m so glad they have acceptance and someone they can talk to who gets it. I have a great grandson who’s also 16 who’s gay and a grandson who is 16 who is bi. I love their generations fearlessness. They’re all great kids.

If voting were everything. Gerrymandering needs to be abolished so that everyone’s voice can be heard. Then comes term limits for the Supreme Court justices. And get rid of the Electoral College. So, there’s a few steps beyond voting. But voting blue is a good start.
Yes and no. If you live in a gerrymandered district, your vote might not count. If the point of view of the Supreme Court colors their judgement, then any policy can be changed. At the same time, all the issues cannot be solved at once and so voting is a great place to start…as long as you understand it’s just the beginning of a long, may years struggle.

Video footage has emerged of a 5-year-old Palestinian child being detained by the Israeli army.
Below in another video only one year ago, a 7 year old boy dies from fear while being chased by Israeli soldiers. Children so scared of soldiers they fear them to death. Why would a 7 yr old be so scared? This was the West bank, not even Gaza, and again no Hamas. Think to the many stories of abuse that are and have been coming out that Israel has long denied. Seems they were true. What other horrors is Israel lying about. The people there claim the main goal of the army is to cause this fear and maintain complete control. The story says the soldiers arrested the kids, that means they did not go home, but instead into detention for processing. Reports say this can take a day to four months, and the child has no rights, no legal council, even their family is often not notified. It is complete terrorism. It is designed to harass and break the Palestinian people, to try to get them to self deport to where they will have a chance for a decent life. This short clip says it all. A 6 or 7 year old kid begging and crying out “What will happen to us” and “What are they going to do to us”.
