Wisconsin school board member sues over new sex-ed curriculum

Dogs that love gravy this is mob rule.   These thugs are proud they shouted down parents in favor of the program.   These thugs scared a ten year old little girl and made her cry.   This is their idea of civil discourse?  This is not democracy.    Young people need comprehensive sex education, and this is education also helps protect them by teaching them the boundaries of who and where others can touch them.  In some of these classes they teach kids how to report and get help if they are being abused.   These thugs claim anything they don’t like is grooming which is a mockery of the word.   They are cheapening child abuse by claiming everyone not in their group is an abuser.   It makes the words and accusations meaningless.   I don’t even understand what these groups want other than spectacle and public schools shut down.   They claim these subjects need to be taught at home, really?  Tell me that people who think the best moral understanding was from what people understood 2,500 years ago and who think any kinds of sex that doesn’t produce a baby is capable of teaching any kind of informative sex ed to kids?  This is so frustrating that this kind of violence and stupidity is celebrated by the right and allowed to continue.    Hugs

The latest round in a Wisconsin school board fight has one board member suing his fellow members to stop implementation of a controversial sex-ed curriculum while anti-LGBTQ+ organizations Moms for Liberty and Gays Against Groomers stoke the controversy.

The suit was filed by board member Michael Meier, who claims the adoption of the new Human Growth and Development curriculum for the Wauwatosa School District in Milwaukee County should be invalidated based on technicalities that include Meier being excluded from conversations among his fellow members.

“A member was excluded from the meeting process in the weekend preceding the August 22 Human Growth and Development action, and therefore that approval of the August 22 is ordered voided and rescinded as unlawful,” the lawsuit read.

Meier was the lone dissenting vote when the new standards were adopted by a vote of 6-1.

The anti-LGBTQ+ groups Moms for Liberty and Gays Against Groomers have made the tiny school district a focus of their national efforts protesting against the “sexualization and indoctrination of children.” Gays Against Groomers founder Jaimee Michell, who is based in Milwaukee, described the Wisconsin curriculum as “child abuse” and “grooming.”

At a board meeting on October 24, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported police were called after activists from both organizations plunged the gathering into chaos by shouting accusations at board members and parents, labeling them “groomers” and “child abusers” who wanted to show kids sexually explicit pictures.

“Please remember our name, Gays Against Groomers, as you will be hearing a lot more of us, and we are just getting started,” Michell warned. A 10-year old in attendance broke into tears.

Failed school board candidate and Moms for Liberty member Scarlett Johnson tweeted thanks to opponents of the measure before the meeting. “Thank you for helping us protect kids from woke gender ideology and hyper sexualization. Comprehensive Sexuality Education is evil … we can no longer mince words,” she wrote.

Support among residents of the Wauwatosa School District for the new curriculum was measured at over 70% in strong agreement, agreement, or neutral.

“I am most upset, frustrated and sad,” Wauwatosa parent Amy White said, “that extremist groups, or even people external to the Wauwatosa School District are targeting our school board.” Some parents called for the exclusion of outside groups from school board meetings.

At that same meeting, Sunny Iwanski, the first Wauwatosa resident to speak,  said she supported Human Growth and Development curriculum. She was immediately interrupted by protesters. She told them the constant disruption meant the needs of the district’s kids were being ignored.

“I think it’s important to acknowledge that we have listened to the voice of the people of Wauwatosa and that we are serving the children of Wauwatosa … I’m frustrated, and I’m ready for us to move forward as a district,” she told the meeting.

Gays Against Groomers was started by Michell, an out lesbian and professional viral media creator, and a group of gay “contributors” earlier this year. The anti-LGBTQ+ collection of gays, lesbians and detrans individuals has stalked school board meetings, anti-LGBTQ+ rallies and the airwaves since, all while being banned from multiple platforms, including Venmo, for hate speech. The group claims they are “a 100% independent, self-funded nonprofit organization.”

Talk show host and Georgia House candidate accused of illegal voting

Republicans are sure there is massive voter fraud and the reason appears to be they are the ones doing it.    Hugs

Conservative talk show host Brian K. Pritchard, a candidate for the Georgia House, is accused of voting illegally nine times while serving a felony sentence.

Brian K. Pritchard allegedly voted nine times while on felony probation

Conservative North Georgia talk show host Brian K. Pritchard, a candidate for the state House who rails against election fraud, allegedly voted illegally nine times while serving a felony sentence in a $33,000 forgery and theft case, state officials say.

The Georgia attorney general’s office wrote Thursday that Pritchard broke state law each time he voted before his sentence was completed, according to a filing with the Office of State Administrative Hearings. State law prohibits felons from voting.

Pritchard, the head of FetchYourNews.com, qualified Monday to run in a special election for the state House seat previously held by Speaker David Ralston, who died last month. He will face Ralston’s widow, Sheree Ralston. Both candidates are Republicans from the Blue Ridge area in northeast Georgia.

“I’ve not done anything wrong here,” Pritchard said Monday, asserting that his sentence ended long ago and his rights had been restored. “I guess if you’re apprehending public enemy No. 1, here I am.”

Ralston, the executive director of the Fannin County Development Authority, said she is running to continue her husband’s work, especially to expand mental health care and addiction treatment programs.

“Sheree Ralston brings dignity and integrity to this campaign and would serve her constituents with the utmost honesty and respect,” campaign spokeswoman Jen Talaber Ryan said.

Pritchard pleaded guilty in 1996 to three felonies, including two counts of forgery and one count of theft by failure to make a required disposition of funds, according to court records from Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

His sentence included probation and restitution payments of over $33,000. Court documents available online don’t provide details of the underlying crimes.

After Pritchard registered to vote in Georgia in 2008, he voted in nine elections before his felony probation sentence ended in 2011, according to the attorney general’s office.

Pritchard has said on his show that the 2020 presidential election was “stolen,” though recountscourt cases and investigations have repeatedly debunked those claims. He has criticized Republican Gov. Brian Kemp and Republican Attorney General Chris Carr for being “complicit” in Democrat Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia.

“I do not believe that 81 million people voted for this guy,” Pritchard said on his show in April. “This is what they did to us, America.”

Pritchard’s attorney told the State Election Board last year that he was unaware he was considered a felon when he registered and voted in Georgia. The board referred the case to the attorney general’s office for further proceedings.

“The system is not set up for people to do whatever they want and us to catch them. It’s for people to abide by the law,” State Election Board member Matt Mashburn said during the February 2021 meeting.

The attorney general’s office has requested a hearing before an administrative judge in Fannin County, where Pritchard lives, during the week of Jan. 9, after the special election for House District 7 on Jan. 3.

Pritchard could face maximum fines of up to $5,000 for each violation.

Unless Pritchard were convicted of a felony for voting while serving his sentence, he wouldn’t be disqualified from office. Local prosecutors haven’t sought criminal charges against Pritchard.

If he were a Black woman, he’d be sentenced to five years in jail, at least.

Crystal Mason got 5 years in jail for doing it accidentally. Why shouldn’t this asshole get a LOT more?

Will he be charged with anything? No mention of charges anywhere. He ought to be sentenced to 9 x 5 years in jail for this, right?

No, but if he was a liberal, RW media would be screaming for his arrest.

Texas Venue Cancels Drag Events After Online Threats – JMG

The San Antonio Express reports:

A local venue in the Deco District of San Antonio has been forced to cancel future drag shows planned at the space after far right social media accounts spread a false narrative over Twitter. Starlighter said in a statement on Sunday, December 4, that they were made to feel unsafe after being threatened online in comments and other tweets.

The threats stem from a far right “independent journalist” named Tayler Hansen [photo], who posted video on Twitter of a Christmas drag event for all ages at Starlighter on Friday, December 2. Starlighter says in the statement that the child was never left unattended or was in any danger.

They were the child of a food vendor that was right outside the door of the venue. The child was familiar with both the Starlighter staff and queens and the vendor later posted a photo thanking the queens for treating their child like “a niece.”

Read the full article.

Hansen attended the attack on the US Capitol and took video which he claims proves that Ashli Babbitt was innocent. It doesn’t appear that Hansen has been charged for being part of the mob of insurrectionists. He was arrested last month for disrupting a speech by John Bolton.

FBI Joins Probe Into North Carolina Power Outage – JMG

CNN reports:

With no suspects or motive announced, the FBI is joining the investigation into power outages in a North Carolina county believed to have been caused by “intentional” and “targeted” attacks on substations that left around 40,000 customers in the dark Saturday night, prompting a curfew and emergency declaration.

The mass outage in Moore County turned into a criminal investigation when responding utility crews found signs of potential vandalism of equipment at different sites – including two substations that had been damaged by gunfire, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

“The person, or persons, who did this knew exactly what they were doing,” Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said during a Sunday news conference. “We don’t have a clue why Moore County.”

Raleigh’s ABC affiliate reports:

All Moore County schools are closed Monday as the American Red Cross offers a 24-hour shelter in the county to help thousands of people lacking heat, medical care and other necessities during a mass power outage.

Sheriff Ronnie Fields said the Moore County Sheriff’s Office is working with state and local law enforcement. When asked if this was an incident of domestic terrorism, Fields replied, “I can’t answer that,” but added, “This was targeted. It wasn’t random.”

Investigators aren’t sure if there is a tie between the substation damage and a drag show at the Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines that sparked a lot of controversy in the area. There was heavy security at the drag show amid concerns about protesters and fears of possible violence.

Anti-Drag Activist Questioned Over NC Power Outage

Durham’s ABC affiliate reports:

Acts of intentional vandalism caused ten of thousands of people in Moore County to sleep Saturday night without power. Moore County Sheriff’s Office said the outages began just after 7 p.m. because of damaged caused at multiple substations in the county. Sheriff Ronnie Fields said the mass outage is currently believed to have been caused by a criminal act. Approximately 38,000 people lost power and were forced to deal with the overnight freezing temperatures.

NBC News reports:

Sewer lift stations were also out of order and authorities advised residents to stay off the roads. “There are multiple accidents that have occurred,” Southern Pines administration said in a statement. While typical outages in North Carolina are often resolved within an hour so, the late-night blackout for much of Moore County appeared to new territory for Duke Energy and for law enforcement. “Until we understand the scope of the damage, we can’t yet estimate when power will be restored.”

The Daily Beast reports:

A local conservative activist who organized a protest against a drag show said on Facebook that she was visited by deputies. “I welcomed them to my home. Sorry they wasted their time,” Emily Grace Rainey wrote. Two hours earlier, Rainey had posted the message: “The power is out in Moore County and I know why.” And around the same time, she posted a picture of the Sunrise Theater, which was putting on the sold-out drag show, with the caption “God will not be mocked.”

While this pig high-fived a Proud Boy and said he supported their right to protest, this wasn’t a protest, it was domestic terrorism – using violence or threats of violence to achieve a political goal.

Correct. They teach them how to disrupt communications, power, and water infrastructure in the military. A review of her records will likely reveal that she has been thru this schooling. She can’t be to smart having shot off her cock socket like this so they will have a very hard look at her over the next weeks.
Edit: Had a look at some videos and pictures and if they attacked the transformer that is millions of dollars to repair or replace. It appears from the size to be at least a 25 megawatt unit. They don’t keep those laying around in the yard as backup! Allot of these stations also have video cameras stationed facing out and in so they likely have some video.

Chris Christie’s niece kicked off New Orleans plane, injured 6 deputies, officials say

https://www.nola.com/news/crime_police/chris-christies-niece-bites-officers-at-new-orleans-airport/article_592e7ee2-728d-11ed-9b91-9345a9dda9b2.html

Ah the family that is racist together … Christie was a big supporter of the close the southern border policies while trying to get white people to come to the US.   He is an entitled white asshole and sounds like the entire family is.   Hugs

She asked passengers she perceived to be Latino if they were ‘smuggling cocaine’

New Orleans airport

A niece of former New Jersey Gov. was arrested on Thanksgiving Day at Louis Armstrong International Airport.

After getting forced off an airplane for asking passengers who appeared to her to be Latino whether they were drug mules, a niece of former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie bit, kicked and spit on Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies trying to detain her on Thanksgiving Day at Louis Armstrong International Airport, authorities said.

Shannon Epstein, 25, boarded the Spirit Airlines flight to New Jersey on Nov. 24 at about 6 a.m., and asked a family who were near her and whom she perceived to be Latino if they were “smuggling cocaine,” said Capt. Jason Rivarde, a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. Airline workers requested Epstein be removed from the plane as she became increasingly irate, and the plane, which had started to taxi to the runway, returned to the gate, Rivarde said Friday.

When deputies arrived, Epstein refused to exit the jet bridge into the terminal, Rivarde said. When they tried to arrest her, she became “extremely combative,” Rivarde said.

Six deputies hurt

In the scuffle, she injured six deputies, biting one of the arm and breaking the skin, and kicking another in the groin, Rivarde said. They were treated there by paramedics.

All the while, Epstein shouted that the deputies were going to lose their jobs or end up in jail, boasting that she was related to powerful people and that her uncle is a friend of former President Donald Trump, Rivarde said. Chris Christie did not return messages left Friday at two telephone numbers associated with him.

Seven deputies were needed to handcuff Epstein to a wheelchair, so that she could be moved to the airport security office, Rivarde said. She continued to shout vulgarities and try to bite deputies, he added.

They booked Epstein with six counts of battery on a police officer, three of disturbing the peace, one of resisting arrest by force and one of remaining after forbidden, Rivarde said. She paid $10,750 bail and was released from the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center later on Thanksgiving Day.

Epstein is scheduled to return to Jefferson Parish for court on Jan. 23, although Rivarde said most airline-related cases move to federal court.
