  1. According to a previous report, she was playing with her new bicycle when she picked up a 9 mm pistol from the backseat of a truck. So the question becomes … why would a 3-year-old kid climb up into the backseat of a truck? Was the door of the truck open? And what kind of idiot would leave a gun (apparently visible) on the backseat of ANY vehicle? Lots of questions related to this incident, IMO.

    1. Hello Nan. You picked up on my questions. Trucks today are normally high up even on the regular tires. The doors are heavy. She is three. How did she open the door. The gun was on the back seat, can taht be legal leave a weapon just laying on the seat. Tim Gordon, the girl’s father, is a former captain of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, according to HCSO spokesperson Johnny Duncan. He retired in 2016. So was this a police friend who left a loaded gun on the seat? But again why would the girl work to climb up into the seat, how would she have seen the gun. It had to be above her head. So what was her interest? To me there are red flags here. Scottie
