In ruling that the Biden administration can’t force large businesses to enact vaccine mandates, the conservative majority of the United States Supreme Court argued that the coronavirus is not an “occupational work hazard.” Don’t worry if they’re wrong because every member of the Supreme Court is vaccinated, so they don’t have to deal with the coronavirus hazard at their workplace.
The mandate applied to companies with over 100 employees. It required all employees to be vaccinated or be tested every week. This would have affected over 82 million workers, which is two-thirds of the U.S. workforce. Now thanks to the Supreme Court, you can still be an employed gaslighting anti-vaxxer Fauci-hating fucknut.
The Biden administration estimated the rule would save our nation from over 250,000 hospitalizations.

OK, so they don’t want to “force” vaccines on anyone. But what about the testing? If a person is required to test on a regular basis –and turns out to be positive– the company can put them on temporary leave, thus reducing the chance of other non-vaccinated individuals contracting the virus.
But I guess such an action makes too much sense … besides the fact the idea came from the Democrats.

Hello Nan. The ruling was complete bullshit. It was made to reach a goal of political ideology rather than a rule on the law. Right in the law it states that congress authorizes OSHA to protect workers in the workplace even if they don’t get the virus / safety risk at work if the issue impacts people’s safety at work. . During the Aids crisis in the 1980’s the people were not getting infected at work, yet the court had no trouble with work force rules to protect workers from getting AIDS. So the ruling is more to hurt the bureaucracy from establishing rules over businesses. Think of the future rules that could erode the right of the EPA to establish rules against businesses, or that cost businesses money. I think that is what this is about. The Republicans on the court are mostly in bed with the corporate community. Remember Gorsuch ruled against a guy who sued a trucking company because they fired him after they ordered him to basically freeze to death by remaining with his load and he left to save his life. The rest of the judges over ruled him, but in Gorsuch’s mind it was OK for a business to require an employee sacrifice themselves for the company good. Scottie
