Tucker Carlson Brutally Mocks ‘Ludicrous Figure’ Pete Buttigieg, Who ‘Breastfeeds’

Tucker Carlson brutally mocked Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg as an unqualified “kid” who “breastfeeds,” and has no business running the agency. The crack was part of a broader monologue the ridiculed the idea that social and racial equity has a critical role to play in rebuilding the nation’s infrastructure.

After presenting the sorry state of public infrastructure in the United States, the Fox News host explained that Joe Biden should have appointed a “competent” person to be transportation secretary.

“But that’s not with the Biden administration did. They had a more progressive idea. Joe Biden hired a kid, by contrast, who had never had a real job outside McKinsey and no grounding of any kind in physical reality,” he said, referring to the consulting megafirm.

Carlson said as mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Buttigieg had a poor track record when it came to infrastructure.

“When Pete Buttigieg was mayor, the city had, and we’re quoting now, the worst pothole situation in the state according to the local paper. Huge potholes. So big that Mayor Pete – not a tall man – could’ve disappeared into one. You can picture his little legs up in the air. Eight years as mayor, and he was never able to fix it.”

He added, cackling, “This guy, who literally couldn’t fix the potholes in South Bend, Indiana, is now the transportation secretary. But he breastfeeds so it’s equity! It’s unbelievable!”

In October, Carlson chided Buttigieg for taking paternity leave.

“Pete Buttigieg has been on leave from his job since August after adopting a child – paternity leave, they call it – trying to figure out how to breastfeed,” he said at the time. “No word on how that went.”

“This is a guy who wouldn’t know a car transmission from a bridge abutment,” the host went on. “What are the chances he can run his own espresso machine?

“The mindset is the problem here. And it’s not just Mayor Pete. He’s easy to mock because he’s a ludicrous figure. But it’s all the people like him who believe that our economy and is based on social media apps and HR departments.”

Remember who we are talking about.  Secretary Buttigieg is a combat veteran Army officer who speaks several languages and Buttigieg was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to study at the University of Oxford. In 2007, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with first-class honors in philosophy, politics, and economics after studying at Pembroke College, Oxford.    Tucker is a wealthy man from a wealthy family who seems to have trouble staying at media companies until he hit Fox.

  1. Hi Scottie;
    One of the most frustrating things I have to do as a democrat is explain how some asshole has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. But, here goes…
    Hey tucker. Did you know that South Bend, Indiana is a very old town? The streets you point to with pot holes that were so bad are not a simple patch and move on issue. You see, those very streets were laid down well over 100 years ago, require constant care, and ripping them out to repave is paramount to causing traffic back ups and stifling commerce. I imagine you would bitch about that too. Further, since South Bend is in an extremely busy corridor, located east of Gary and a bit further east of Chicago, west of Detroit, Toledo, and North of Indianapolis, well, it gets a LOT of traffic – much of that heavy semi’s. South Bend has a lot of industry and farming. My point here is that it doesn’t look quite like some pansy ass California or Connecticut town where everyone drives empty suv’s. And, a larger problem is that it sits in a freeze thaw region at the southern end of Lake Michigan where not only do we get a great deal of snow and ice, requiring salt and brine to treat so that same traffic doesn’t end up in the ditch, but those very patches can get water under them that then freeze and expand – you remember this from school physics, right you putz?
    Let’s go a bit further; South Bend holds a population that runs the socio-economic spectrum from end to end, from numerous millionaires and a billionaire or two – to those who struggle to eat daily. It is a thriving town, including airports, shipping hubs, Notre Dame University, etc. As such, it encounters REAL problems that require REAL people to deal with them, very much not an easy job nor always the ideal answer to very tough issues. Mayor Pete was effective, loved, and respected for his work ethic and care for his community – even those who didn’t like him back. He didn’t get to sit in some cushy studio and bitch and lie incessantly about things. He had a real job to do.

    South Bend area native.

    1. Thank you Randy. You sure told him. The thing is Tucker thinks he is superior because he is famous, he is wealthy, and he has a following because of his media show. However he has no experience trying to run a city nor how to run a department of the government. I wonder if he could do it. His work now is done for him by teams, he has everything in his life done for him. I hope he does his personal relationship himself but … See what most people don’t know about Tucker is he has failed at every media job he has had until Fox. He has changed his beliefs with each change. When he was on liberal media he was liberal in his views and what he promoted. The more he went to right wing media the more to the right his views became. I guess he knows where the money is for him. Best wishes, have a grand week. Stay warm, no outside stuff in this cold.
