These highly political people want a trump no one comes in send everyone back / out enforcement policy. That is an anti immigrant stance that the people and administration don’t agree with and would violate the laws and treaties of the US. Think of the open disrespect these people showed their boss. Think they could have done that to trump’s people. Think they could do that in a non government job.

There’s little doubt that the immigration problems will ever be solved. Of course tRump made the whole thing worse, but there have always been those who do NOT want “those people” coming into the states. I mean, really. The U.S. should be an all-white, male-dominated society, doncha’ know?

Hello Nan. The biggest problem is most people to not understand what is happening at the southern border. To the people I have spent the last few days arguing with, hordes of brown people are invading over the border threatening the country itself. I made the comment that the border patrol was able to handle the amount of people trying to cross the border, that the rules except for detainment for families seeking asylum were the same, and that the statistics show that these are not historically high levels and that levels were higher in the past. I was trounced by people sure that parts of Texas were over run and under immigrant control. That Democrats were deliberately allowing a flood of people to cross the border because they would vote Democratic in the next election. Heck it was all because George Soros was paying for these people to come to the US to harm real Americans. Nan the anger and push back I got on immigration was more than anything else I commented, except for trying to correct misinformation about Obama.
My point is IMO the border patrol is full of racist who want to keep these non-white people out. Regardless of why they are looking for asylum or just to get a job to survive, those people want to keep them out. I posted enough cases of racism and abuse towards immigrants on the border to be sure of it. As you said an all white male dominated society.
But really I wanted to point out how disrespectful these employees were. They were openly rebellious toward their boss and the job the boss wanted them to do. Yes they are mostly maga tRump supporters and got really excited and happy over the way tRump let them treat immigrants. And that is the problem. The people in the border patrol are not interested in following the law or the treaties, they don’t see the people they apprehend as humans needing help. They see them as a sub human vermin invasion. And there is such a large racist part of the US population supported by racist politicians that these border patrol agents feel entitled to act the way they do and even feel they have a right to do so. They feel they are the ones guarding the country and our way of life. The guy that got caught running down a fleeing immigrant was excited and happy and felt he was a hero. He killed a guy who crossed the border by running over him with a SUV because he was running away, and the audio captured showed he was doing it vindictively.
Nan I know I spend too much time arguing with nut job maga idiots and trolls. But it scares me the open racism in the US. And I am not sure what to do about it.
One of the arguments I am having is that Biden saying he wants a black female is racist, that Biden is a anti-white racist. And poll show that the majority of the country wants the most qualified person not a black woman. Not a black woman. The assumption now is that a black woman is not qualified and that is because that narrative has been pushed by the right wing media.
When I point out that is white privilege to assume a white person is the most qualified and a black person would be a unqualified quote pick the replies I get back have only insults and misinformation. and that is upvoted with likes. Today I looked and half of the stuff I replied with over the last two days is gone, removed with no explanation. The misinformation is till there. The replies to my comments are still there. But the factual information I provided is gone.
That is discouraging. The right misleading voices are going full bore and the voice to correct them are silenced and removed. people reading the comments wont see anything but misinformation and agreement with the factually wrong cartoons. And these cartoons are not for kids, the ones arguing with me are like me, they have all day and night to just argue their political view. I had to stop replying so I could get other things done, and that makes them crow they were right as I stopped replying. I find it insidious and a sign that our US education system is really not education kids. I think it shows how the political disinformation campaign that says how you feel about something is more important than verifiable facts.
Well off to the roundup again. I will be sending you an email soon. It is on this subject and I am curious of what your opinion is. I think you might have a clearer view than I do.
