  1. Now all we can do is hope more of the younger set feel the same way — But in the years that would follow … he became more uncomfortable with what he saw as a politicized, conspiratorial mindset.

    1. Hello Nan. Several things in the article stood out to me. The first was “what do you do when god loses”? That is what the first guy asked about tRump’s losing the election. God equals tRump, tRump equals God? The other was that while young people are leaving evangelical churches there is a growing Christian Nationalist movement in the churches. So it is win some and lose a lot more for the country. IMO.

  2. Scottie, it is hard to put forth as a paragon someone who is well documented as an untruthful, ego-maniacal, and bullying person. The young kids are saying this who you want me to emulate and admire? Keith

    1. Hello Keith. Yes I can see that, and in truth it makes sense that young people who are taught that god is love, taking care of the poor is required, and all the caring for your neighbor stuff only to see someone who is the opposite of those teachings elevated to a level equal to that god they worship would reject that. In the article the first guy said what do you do when god loses, meaning trump. But what got me was the last part of the article that talked about the rise of Christian nationalism and the attempting to destroy any separation of church and state. That part of the article was rather scary for me.
