IMO, one of the big differences between the two parties is that ONE continues to say whatever is convenient at the time, whereas the other one continues to REITERATE what they have always stood for.

Hello Nan. One of the big differences is the way the parties look at the people. The Democratic party wants to help the public with the government working for the people, providing services and assistance, protecting the environment, and letting the people decide what politicians they want and what choices they get to make.
The Republicans want to help the wealthy with the government working for businesses and corporations, denying any services or assistance to the public, maximizing profit that can be made by removing any and all regulations businesses dislike, ensuring the politicians choose their voters and forcing the public to live as the politicians choose.
Did I sum it up correctly? Why anyone not wealthy votes for Republicans I cannot figure out. Hugs

Well, yes … but my comment wasn’t meant to be a literal definition of the differences … 🙂

Hello Nan. Oh Shit. I am sorry. I struggle sometimes with nuance. Especially when I am full of pain medication, it dulls my thinking. I was just adding to your comment with differences I had noticed but did not realize you were making a rhetorical point about messaging. Hugs
