    1. Hello Nan. Yes I posted when he was first threatened, and it was not a friendly warning like he is pretending in the video. But he has an important message. I remember those bad old days that the Republicans and religious right are trying to take us back to. When all I heard about gays like myself was we were evil predators staking children (and you know how weird that was to me being abused at home) On TV, in school, the adults I knew repeated Anita Bryant’s false claims driven by her religion. I thought I was the only gay kid in school, in our town, but it was not true as I was to learn later there were a bunch of gay kids including one of my friends who was too scared to tell me his secret because he did not want to lose our friendship. That is the world the Republicans and the religious right wants to drive us back to. For a long time I have envied the modern age for LGBTQ+ kids, for most of them it was scary coming out, but the chances are they would be understood and even supported. In my age if the parents were religious it was not even a question you would keep it hidden and if found out you would face harm or be kicked out of the house and also in my day a gay kid was routinely beaten at home and at school. it was lose / lose even in non-religious homes. I read of a lot of kids from my generation that simply left school because they couldn’t take the abuse. I don’t want the country to go back there. I don’t want kids to face that. Kids need support at school if they don’t have it at home. Kids need the information on the internet that explains their feelings and answers their questions. Kids need what the Republicans and religious groups are working so hard to destroy. Hugs
