I have heard of these studies before. But mostly it was from sites dedicated to LGBTQ+ issues. This is the first time I have heard these arguments put forth by an active preacher / priest. And this is why you should not pick and choose little bits out of the English version of Bible to suit your prejudices. You are supposed read and meditate on the meanings, dwell on the origins and the sub-text.

Sadly Scottie they that use selective words will stick with what they say and also go and find about few words to suit their viewpoints.
The battles are to be won on the fringes, to win the undecided and the uncertain and reduce the extremists to a small isolated group.
