I can remember when ~ I was one then ~ christians didn’t participate in politics at all. We were “not of this world” and just didn’t have time for secularism. It was beneath us.

Hello Ten Bears. That is the way it should be as far as church doctrines are concerned. That is for the people in that church, not the country as a whole. Or used to be as you said. Now the game is to force as many people as possible to live under your church rules. It no longer is thought of as being a personal religion / personal faith but now it is all public as possible. Hugs

Hello Columbus Goss. Yes well said. I was just reading an article on Orban and how he blends religion with his authoritarianism to shore up his dictatorship. I wonder which will come out on top, the republican dictators or the religious dictators? What about if religion wins, which one gets to be the top one? Hugs
