Rolling Stone reports:
Donald Trump ended his pre-midterm rally blitz in disgusting fashion, calling House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “an animal,” championing the death penalty, and giddily imagining the prison rape of the journalist who reported on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. “The leaking from the Supreme Court is unbelievable,” the former president said Monday night at a rally in Ohio.
“But you get the information very easily. You tell the reporter who is it … and if the reporter doesn’t want to tell you it’s ‘bye bye.’ The reporter goes to jail. When the reporter learns he’s going to be married to a certain prisoner who’s extremely strong, tough, and mean, he will say, ‘you know, I think I’m going to give you the information.’” He laid out the same fantasy at a rally in Texas last month. The audience burst out in laughter, just as they did Monday night in Ohio.
Read the full article. The piece goes on to note that Trump has recently been asking advisers how to copy Russian and Chinese methods for imprisoning journalists. Last night Trump also praised China for executing drug dealers after a “two-hour” trial.
Sadly, delusional evangelicals and Republican billionaires are now the foundation of the US’s political structure.
“…imprisoning journalists who publish classified information.”
What do you suggest we do to people who steal it?
I guess he’d know alot about it since he’s had so much experience as a rapist.
And yet is more popular within the GOP than any Dem within our own. We should be trying to figure out why that is.
He’s driving more people to the polls than the non-fascist Dems are, thats a problem for OUR party, not theirs.

Again we’d have seen a lot more if everything wasn’t maximally-filibustered and obstructed and made into yet another debt-ceiling shutdown stunt.

The majority of Americans do not vote because they can’t get to the polls or because they are so disaffected by past elections. And whats worst is that young voters are less likely to be engaged in politics because the dinosaurs in Congress have ignored every single one of their voting issues.
And thats on BOTH parties because we’ve got leadership in both parties that were born in the friggin 40s and do not represent the majority of Americans or our interests. The Rs at least believe their crazy-ass convictions where Dems are just trying to make everyone happy, mostly end up making their donors/wall street/billionaires happy.
Again, You dont just expect people to vote for you because you think that should be enough, and thats all dems run on. Meanwhile, Republicans ACTUALLY GET SHIT DONE for their voters.
Repealed RvW, stacked the courts, thwarted any real legislative changes, etc. etc. How bad are the Dems at this if we didnt see any of this coming?

Starting to think Trump has some serious prison rape fantasies of his own he’s dealing with. He sure that nks about it an awful lot!

Hello Jeff. I agree. Remember that trump is creditably accused of raping a 13 year old girl at Epstein’s place, and another lady is currently suing him for raping her, E. Jean Carroll. And Ivana his first wife made a court filing that he attacked her in anger and raped her but withdrew it after he promised her a really nice divorce settlement. We also know he is a narcissist and he thinks he is entitled to anything he wants to have. So yes I am sure in his fantasies he is a super hunk who ravishes anyone he desires and takes what he wants from them. Most people who have sexy dreams think of consensual sex (unless they are having nightmares reliving their abuse) where they woo the one they desire and that one makes their fantasy come true. But for people like trump it is all about the power over the other, making the object of his attention to do what pleases him regardless and especially if they don’t want to. It makes him super powerful in his fantasies.
I struggle with the prison rape thing pushed on many forums, especially gay ones. Those who joke about it or think it is a just punishment have never suffered being raped. How any gay man can joke about being forced to give oral or anal sex against your will is stunning to me, but then I remember many straight men make jokes about raping females. But every time on a forum I read about people getting raped as a just punishment for whatever crime the people think they committed I shrink inside myself and I have to strongly tell myself they don’t know or understand what they are saying. And maybe some do know but like being cruel. There is something wrong with the US that our prison system is like a dystopian cage fight. A place where we warehouse those we don’t want in society, making them live in the worst conditions, making them fight for survival while being mistreated by those in charge after we throw away the keys so they cannot get out. No other advanced country does this.
Okay, I know you understand all this, so no rants from me. It is just when these assholes start talking rape and mistreatment the vortex in my head that I have to constantly guard against yowls harder and louder. Hugs

Thank you, Jeff. I know you want to make a satirical remark on this and I really do enjoy your humor. I hate to be the jerk at the wedding, but this subject is just too raw for me. But I will understand if you feel the need to leave your trademarked satire remark. Best wishes my friend. Hugs

He probably feels he is safe, first for never going to jail and second that on the chance he does go, that nobody would be desperate enough to touch him. He will be secured away so the second won’t have much a chance to happen in the country club prison that he will be sent to.

As long as he’s locked in forever, I’m OK with that. Just get him away from the rest of the world.

Hello Muttpupdad. Super correct on all points. Yet that he keeps bringing it up and acting like it is the way to force people to do what he wants them to do says to me he has those rape fantasies. He either daydreams about raping women / young girls he desires and cannot win on his own so must force them due to his money and position to give into him. He is credibly accused of raping a 13 year old virgin, and he is being sued for raping E. Jean Carroll, and his ex-wife now deceased also said he got angry and raped her. He uses sex as a weapon to prove himself manly and in charge. I don’t think it ever enters his mind he might be raped, all his life he has had the best security to protect him. First from his dad, then by the mob, and now the US Secret Service who would be required to protect him even in prison. No he glories in the pain of others, especially his enemies. He would pay to have someone he wants to talk raped and he would watch it with glee until the person gives him what he wants. The man has no empathy, no shame, no humanity. He doesn’t care how much anyone suffers as long as he gets what he wants. In some cases he will enjoy the suffering if he thinks they kept him from something he wanted. I don’t wish prison rape on anyone, that shouldn’t be what prison is for, but I would love trump to know the helpless painful lost feeling that rape victims feel before, during, and after being raped. I just will never wish anyone including trump, raped and used against their will no matter what they did or who they are. I have been there, and it is seriously not a place anyone should be or have to live in. Hugs

Yes. And then we get this, thanks to Sen. Wyden for releasing info: https://www.yahoo.com/video/homeland-security-admits-tried-manufacture-114500599.html .
I want to think Trump’s projecting yet again and that these are things he’s afraid of for himself, but he’s also got one grisly soul, so he could just be daydream-believin’, too.
I just don’t get why he hasn’t been picked up yet. Any of us would be at Guantanamo Bay for trying the stuff he’s tried, and the stuff he’s done. Ah, well-maybe tomorrow after the election’s over!

Heck I should have clarified; I didn’t watch or even notice a video; I read the article there for the reading. Today’s the first I’ve heard of what we’re being told, and it’s as serious as the rest of what we’re learning.

The thing is, Ali, Trump didn’t actually do this. He had his “underling” carry it out: effort by Trump’s acting secretary of homeland security, Chad Wolf.
Trump is VERY careful to not do these things HIMSELF. One would think the very fact that he ordered them would make him accountable, but time and again he gets away with it because he has other people carry out his dirty work. If they’re found guilty (as in Michael Cohen), THEY go to jail. Not Trump.

That doesn’t make him innocent of anything in regard to this. He was US President, and his underlings did these things on his direction. He’s as guilty as all the rest.
If we’d busted the Iran-Contra conspirators when it was found there was malfeasance, we would not be here now, and Republicans could just be Republicans: chintzy, but not inhumane.

NO! He’s DEFINITELY not “innocent.” But he’s very careful about how he does things so it doesn’t come back on him … but rather the person that followed his directions.
One would think, as President, he would be the responsible person, but apparently not. And further, some of the stuff he has done is unethical (and I mean that in the strongest terms!), but not necessarily illegal.

He should be, though, is what I’m saying. The law is the law, and we’ve seen that he’s broken the law. Take it to trial, let a jury decide, whatever, but we the people have seen that he has broken and has suborned breaking the law.
I know; we will believe in justice when we see it. It’s just a thing I have; I have to demand it. Peace! ☮
