The bill permits school districts to hire chaplains. Unlike school counselors, the chaplains are not required to be certified by the state board.

  1. And by chaplains, they mean … Protestant Christian chaplains?
    What if the schools don’t offer positions for or to chaplains? Can a district as a public entity be liable to a chaplain for hiring a more qualified actual counselor? Well, surely an actual Christian chaplain would never sue a public entity like a school; that’s the opposite of what Jesus would do. /again sarcasm/
