  1. This phony alliance between The Right and the US Catholic Establishment solely based anti-abortion and anti-LGBT is one based on shaky ground.
    There is still a fundamental section which are suspicious of Catholics ‘bowing to Rome’ and the current ‘socialist’ (pause to stifle snigger of sarcastic laughter) Pope.
    There are also substantial splits within Catholicism over alliances with The Right.
    These factors to do promise for a solid front.
    Anyway, as several have pointed out, this is not constitutional anyway
