Rep. Katie Porter on Clarence Thomas, PAC Money, and Working with Marjorie Taylor Greene

This is the person I want in the Senate!!!   Plus I want more like her in all of our federal and state congresses!   She is a working person, she knows how hard life can be, she understands so much that those multimillionaires like Manchin have forgotten and done care about.  Think how great the lives of the average person in the US, the public, could be if we had more like her.  Please if you can vote for her, donate to her campaign, and do what we can so she wins.   Hugs

Rep. Katie Porter tells Stephen that she doesn’t take money from lobbyists, she thinks Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is guilty of hypocrisy, and she finds it hard to go to work every day with Marjorie Taylor Greene as a colleague. Rep. Porter’s new memoir, “I Swear: Politics Is Messier Than My Minivan,” is out now.

  1. https://katieporter.com/ is her official campaign website. There, you can donate, of course; also, you can sign up for news, and offer to volunteer. I’m not in her district or even her state, but there are phone-banking and postcard writing opportunities with every campaign. Some of the best moments of my life have been on the phone with voters working for campaigns like Rep. Porter’s, or Sen. Warren’s, etc. It’s very worthwhile. It is maybe a little laborious to write some postcards, but neither of these activities cost the volunteer money, and all help.

    1. I got excited and neglected to add that Rep. Schiff is also running in this primary for US Senate. He’s not Rep. Porter, but he’s got a decent spine, and would also be a fine US Senator. If he takes the primary, I for one, will do what I can to get him elected over the Republican.
