  1. In the current toxic climate the principal and teacher probably felt they were quite within their ‘rights’.
They seemed to have forgotten that with Rights come Responsibilities tempered with Judgement.
Either that or they were just living out a racist perspective.

    1. Hey Roger. That is true. But think of the implication that sent to all the students, not just the black kids. The message is that black kids are more stupid and need more help to pass tests other kids can pass. But I think part of the issue that caused the teachers and principal to do this was back when Bush was president, he pushed a system to pay schools with higher test score more money and take money from schools with lower schools. Most school that are under performing are low income minority schools that are already underfunded. So the principle wanted to make sure he got as much money as he could under the system. Hugs

      1. Yeah Scottie. It’s always the money…or ‘funding’ that is at the bottom of the situation.
The the UK, what was a national system has now also got tangled up in league tables, official reports on how school are performing and a myriad of other factors.
Then someone chasing votes will use an annoying phrase common to all UK parties ‘The taxpayer wants value for money’…. said in a tone that suggest ‘the taxpayer’ has the same simple choice in the matter as someone buying an new appliance.
Children are thrown into something that the adults can’t truly grasp – seeing as how after every election (and half-way through) some body wants to change the system ‘for the better’ .
        Poor kids. Too much pressure.
