These guys are so ignorant about how the government works that one wonders how they’ve made it this far.
Hello Nan. They don’t want to govern, they are not interested in it. That is not the reason they are there. They want to rule others, to use their authority / power as federal congresspeople to boss people around and gain wealth for themselves. Look at Mitch McConnell, he has been in elected office nearly all his adult life. Yet he became a multimillionaire and somehow did it on a government salary. What they are in congress for is the attention, everything they do is designed to get air time and more social media clicks. They are right wing media influencers yelling look at me, look at me more. They tweet and say the most inflammatory things because they are not talking to the general public but to their extreme base. Not only that, but they use hearings not to find facts or to get answers to questions, but to accuse, smear, and slander for clips to use on Fox and other media, knowing that their base won’t bother to check if they are correct because it makes the base happy, feel superior, and smarter than all the non-maga people. Hugs

This is one of the soooo maddening things that goes on. To ANYONE who pays attention, some of the stuff they spread is SO far off-base, yet it’s believed (and promoted) because the people that hear/read it “like” what it says and, as you say, never bother to check if it’s correct.
