Crazy Monsters: Spiders 🕷️ FULL EPISODE | Smithsonian Channel

Anyone who has followed me for a while or seen what I posted on Ark’s blog knows I am terrified of spiders.  Have been from my first memorizes.  But I still like good documentaries, and this goes under know your enemy.  I don’t have a category labeled “scary” but I am thinking I might need one.   Hugs

Meet a family of hairy, scary eight-legged beasts of all shapes and sizes. This bizarre creature showcase is as fascinating as it is frightening, featuring spiders that walk on water, cartwheel across deserts, shoot hairs at predators, and delivery venom 15 times deadlier than a rattlesnake’s.

  1. 🙂 A few years back, I was reading somewhere that the thread had gone off into whether brown recluses were worse than black widows, etc. Someone had posted about the number of eyes many spiders have, and how unsettling he found it to see those eyes looking up at him when he flashed a flashlight on the floor and crossed a heat/AC vent. I’ve decided to skip the flashlight at night since I read that, though I’m much less fearful of spiders since I’ve read what good things they do for the environment and humanity, and that most fear us more than we fear them.

Now if they’ll just stop showing up out of nowhere the way they do! 🕷

    1. Hello Ali. I think what bothers me about spiders is how fast they move and the way they do it. I know most spiders can not hurt me, and most that are venomous can’t do a lot of damage to humans. Still knowing that still doesn’t stop the sudden panic on seeing any one of them except the smallest. Funny thing, while I hate all bugs and Ron doesn’t mind them, he is terrified of snakes where I am not afraid of them at all. So we have a deal, he takes care of the bugs, and I take care of the snakes. So far works out well for us. Hugs
