Hello Ali. Yes it must because if you look at his history, his adult life, he was handed a gold mine in life and was so unskilled and unlikable he made it a fools gold mine. He was unliked and couldn’t make a career as a military officer, he ran for and got into the House of Representatives barely but was unliked and useless. He quit because he couldn’t win again. Then he ran for governor of Florida against a black man and would have lost if tRump had not rode to his rescue at the last minute after he prostrated himself and his family to the god of trump. That got him a bare win that he took as a landslide and forced a full hard right take over of the state, redistricting even stricter republican than the legislatures wanted, going totally maga Fundamentalist Christian nationalist than any other state. He drank his own Kool-Aid and is on a mission from his god. Now he is finding out his god is fickle and is not giving him the automatic win he demanded. In the US federal congress he was hated, he ignored others, felt himself superior. He feels the same way as governor of the state. He attacked anyone who dared question him as an enemy and treated everyone like small children talking to an adult.
So yes Ali it smarts to him, he can not take an insult, a slight, he can not stand to not be the top person on the pile, he insists he is the king of the hill even if he never earned it. But Ali what makes him so dangerous is he doesn’t see this as his failing but the failing of others who do not see his inborn greatness. The worst villains of history are like him. He must not be allowed to go on to higher office. Hugs. Scottie

Scottie, I just read a Substack that I ended up on by reading Zorba on https://poodyheads.wordpress.com/2023/09/24/peter-greene-on-chris-rufos-plans-to-destroy-public-education/#comment-30655 , then Diane Ravitch at https://dianeravitch.net/2023/09/24/peter-greene-on-chris-rufos-plans-to-destroy-public-education/ , to the big gun, https://open.substack.com/pub/curmudgucation/p/christopher-rufo-and-the-end-of-public?r=1pk2l&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web . The first two linked bits are short; the last one has all the goods, but I wanted to give credit for all.
Holy cow, this school board stuff is a BFD.

This is what happens when you try to be as odious as Trump.

Hi Roger. I would agree but he was as bad as trump without the charisma before he became Governor. Please check out the history to DeathSantis I just wrote out for Ali. The problem I have with DeathSantis is while trump goes where the money is and how to get it, DeathSantis is a true Christian nationalist asshole cis straight racist bigot wanting to return himself and like him as the only ones with rights along with power in the US. Hi Scottie. I was reading your commentary on DeSantis and it makes for an account of a most unpleasant person..
Initially when he said he was seek nomination I wondered if this might split the Right-Wing vote but since DeSantis has all the public person of a stale doughnut he seems like a rabbit in the headlights of tRump’s populist glare.
We can only hope his tenure in Florida will be short, for he has nothing to offer the people of the state as one community.
(As for his military career – not combat role)
