To me, this is the core of the debate. Those who support Israel are doing so based on their personal political stance and/or their “religious” bent towards Israel.
Those who see beyond the politics and religion are more inclined to censure Israel for what they’re doing to regular people in their efforts to “eliminate” Hamas.

Hello Nan. Sounds about right. I am watching the morning news, where Israel itself is pushing videos showing them actually leveling entire city blocks, tanks driving down streets of bombed out buildings of rubble. They have destroyed the water and electric to the biggest hospital, where thousands are trapped as the very building collapses around / on them. The US says they lost all communication with the hospital. When the Israeli official was told of the conditions, the people, and that the world was demanding a cease fire he replied that no, no, no, there would be no stop, they would destroy it all, they would take back the land, the people must go. When told they couldn’t go, he said then they would die. Yes, he said that. I was so angry! I have never been anti-Semitic, but I am really anti-Israel at this point. The government of Israel has created an enemy of me. No one gets the right to do what they are doing, and it is not about security. That is a stupid farce. Hamas has no planes, no air force, limited resources, no tanks, no way to do more than snipe. 1,400 Israelis died, with maybe 40 children. Over 10,000 Palestinians died, with over 4,000 children dead. Israel got their pound of flesh and much more. Angry hugs. Scottie

From my perspective, here’s the short and long of it …
there would be no stop, they would destroy it all, they would take back the land.
Like I’ve been saying, it’s not politics. It’s religion. Israel wants (all) the “land” that Yahweh supposedly gave them.
