“Anyone who thinks the West Bank will remain calm and quiet under all these obstructions, arrests, attacks, and deaths,” says senior Palestinian Authority official Ahmed Majdalani, “is either delusional or stupid.” That Israeli authorities or the IDF can’t or won’t see the obvious is why groups such as Hamas, and others can attract new members.

Hi Barry. I agree. Do you think Israel wants to create these future groups to oppose them? They have been doing the same thing to wipe out hate for 70 years, and it has not worked. So why keep doing it? I am confused about this. I think the goal of Israel is to retake the land and make settlements on it, and deal with the hate it generates later, just like they have done for 70 years. Best wishes. Scottie.
