I have yet to vet this. However how utterly noble the attempt to help these soldiers. I can not image how hard it is to accept that maybe some of these you want to help were not wanting to be there, but some might have been in units that murdered helpless civilians, raped men, women, and yes children of both genders. Wow. Despite how horrifying Russia’s assault has been, I sometimes find myself feeling sympathy for some of the Russian soldiers. They live in an autocratic regime and many of them are conscripted by force, or this may be their only chance to put some food on the table. And their country is treating them like s**t. No excuses for the leaders and the ones who choose to commit war atrocities, however.

Hi Eurobrat. I agree. I don’t blame the average Russian any more than I blame the average Israeli nor the average Palestinian for the actions of leaders they can not control. But for the leaders, no sympathy or tolerance on my part. And yes the people can sometimes do things to change their leaders, but the more authoritarian the government the harder that becomes. Look at how hard it is in the US to change republicans out for normal people. Hugs. Scottie
