    1. Hi Roger. The Reverend Ed Trevors has a great video on this. I posted it this morning. He talks about how Abbott claims to be a super Christian and yet he wants to murder a poor person seeking shelter and food. Hugs. Scottie

          1. Only on his home turf Ali.
Like most of this kind take them away from their audiences but them in a neutral studio and anyone I’ve encountered on WP could take them down.
The days of the shrewd communicator are long passed.

Take George Bush jnr. Way back my daughter and I (both hardened UK leftists) were discussing him. We didn’t buy into the ‘dumb personae’, we reckoned it was all carefully crafted to put folk off guard. As my daughter said ‘After talking to him, you could feel, Yeah I’ll share a beer with you,’
Now we have blustering oafs roared on by crowds who have to Mattel bargain basements knock offs, they’ve always hankered for.

            1. Yep, agreed 100% as to all. I always said GW was just playing dumb to lull the masses. I will cut him a break to the point of “let it happen” (the plane crashes in ’01,) but while maybe not everything was planned in the fashion that tfg has planned so much, there was always the hopeful idea of being a “war president” and grabbing resources by invading. Grrrr.

But Abbott no longer seems to be recognizing jurisdictional authority, either. Ah, well, I guess if he’s allowed, he’s allowed.

              1. I always saw 9/11 as the terrorists ‘one lucky day’ – an IRA reference that the authorities had to be alert all the time, but the IRA only needed ‘one lucky day’. The amount of in-fighting and turf wars between the various federal agencies prior to that….oh boy!( Same as it ever was).
Invading Iraq- typical neo-con delusion, Uncle Sam will arrive and everyone will wave flags (like they did in France in 1944- actually some rather quirky political parallels with Iraq- but without Americans getting attacked- that’s another story I digress).

Anyway Abbott might well be playing a long game. Governor to a try at the Whitehouse? In these frenetic days, it could happen.
                Whatever, I don’t like him (that’s a mild statement)

        1. Hi Roger. I wonder how long he would last confronted by Jesus who was said to have preached feed the hungry, clothing the ones what have no clothes, and giving safe shelter to those in need of it. That is what I heard Jesus wanted his followers to do and preach. So who does Abbott follow who says do the opposite of Jesus? Just asking for a friend. Hugs. Scottie

          1. I would like to think he would fall to his knees, beg for The Lord Jesus Christ’s mercy and having repented live a charitable and tolerant life through the teachings of the Gospels.

From a biblical perspective and a believer in the gospels, it could be argued he has fallen under the sway of The Devil (reference the Temptations of Christ recorded in the Gospels of Mark, Matthew and Luke)
From another New Testament perspective Jesus had frequent clashes with the establishment and the Pharisees:

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharisees
Who the current crop of extremist evangelicals resemble, in that they have an inflexible approach to religious doctrine and also a very strong grass roots base. It could be said Abbott in part is a follower of such a base.

There is also the more realpolitik view in that he will use whatever he feels will resonate with his voter base, so he can keep the Governor’s seat with a long game view for maybe taking try for the Whitehouse.

Whichever way you look at it, he’s hypocritical and comes from a long line of ‘Users’ tailoring beliefs to suit their purposes.

  1. Oops. I read the post after this before this one, and made a comment that may be redundant because I also don’t have the few minutes to watch this vid, I’m sorry to say.

    1. Hi Ali. I understand. Never fear repeating your self, be worried you don’t remember doing it. That has gotten to be me. I sometimes forget I have told someone something, so tell them again. That is a real oops. Hugs. Scottie
