      1. I’m aware that I can find the information elsewhere … I was just reminding you that it might be best to use a difference source so everyone can access the information you’re referencing. 🙂

        1. Hi Nan. And I am reminding you that other people seem able to access the articles from this source posted. I am not sure why I can get into the articles without a subscription, but if other viewers are on Apple devices, they also can get the article. Not everyone is on a PC computer. Have you tried to open the article on your iPhone? It should open. I just tried it on mine and it did.

Nan, I know you get frustrated about this issue. But when I post such things, please notice they are not my normal way of including all the article. It is because I am reading them, found them when I am not at my computers, not able to get to them, so this is the only way for me to get the information out.

As with all my posts, people can read them, ignore them, or research them for themselves. I offer the information that I feel is important. That is what I do. What each reader does is up to them.

            1. Just wanted to add that even on my Apple i-phone and using the Apple News app, I’m unable to access the Washington Post — OR several others that are subscription-based. Perhaps it’s because I’m not “logged in” to Apple, but in any case, they don’t work for me even on my phone.

              1. Hi Nan. Yes it is frustrating for me, as it seems to be for you. But not because you point out that you cannot read the article, but because I don’t know how to fix it for you. Other people don’t tell me they have the issue or like Barry they use the title to look it up if they are interested.

When on your phone you can not access the Washington Post when reading Apple News on your phone? Do you have that news provider selected? See for me that is a much more interesting and larger problem than not being able to open it on the computer. On our Apple devices, and I mean all of our iPads and phones we get free access to the Washington Post articles, they push them to us. When I see the alert, click on it, it displays fully, then I read it and if I like it or think it is important I hit the share button. Most of the time if I go to the post on the computer for a few days I can read it still, then it stops opening on the computer. On my phone I still can. If I send them to other iPhones via messages, they open fine.

I admit I don’t understand your saying you are not logged into Apple when on your phone. My understanding is you always must be when using your phone, the account in settings is the top thing, it is your Apple ID, cloud+ media and purchases …

I don’t know Nan? As you know I am fixated on news. So maybe because I am always in and getting alerts from the different news sources, it works for me. I have no idea if we have different settings. I do know I have given different news companies permissions on the different devices, so some alerts come to my phone but not my pad and the reverse. Maybe you need to go into Apple news and select the Washington Post as a source.

Again Nan, I don’t know. Do I want you to be able to get the news I share, yes of course or I wouldn’t share it. Can I fix everyone’s individual issues’ no. Again all I can do is post it, if you can not read that article and the information interests you, you have ways of finding it. But again, I am not getting that as a complaint from a lot of people. Hugs. Scottie
