I was just reading a report on Taliban executing two men for committing murder. (Maybe they did.) They allowed family members to execute the convicts. It took place in a stadium filled with people who wanted to watch. The Taliban involve the public in order to more fully control the citizens. They become complicit and numb to the reality of their situation. They may well be the next victims. If someone accuses them of blasphemy, or some other sin, they have little chance to prove their innocence.
What does that have to do with us? That’s where we are headed if we cannot turn the Christians and Putin’s arm of the GOP away in the upcoming election. If you doubt that, just search for preachers in the Christian movement who are calling for the murder of Democrats, LGBT, and anyone else not in agreement with them. Anyone should be able to see what Christians are doing, and their partners, the Putin/Trump GOP members of the United States House of Representatives.

Hello Cagjr. I agree 100%. Thank you for the comment and the links. What I am totally frustrated about is how to argue or fight back. Reason doesn’t work with these driven religious people. Hell their faith requires them to ignore reason.
If they are presented with true historical fact they don’t like that shows they are wrong, they either ignore it or claim it is fake news like their cult leader taught them. They repeat it as loud and often as possible. They do this because over decades they have conditioned their segment of the population to believe that the lies they push are true, and the evil devil is trying to hide that truth, so if you say they are wrong you are working for their devil. After all they started this push in the 1980s, with homeschooling Christian propaganda which the great-grandparents were taught as fact, the great grandkids were taught this as fact, the next set of parents believed it and taught it to their kids … all down the line to now we have a bunch of people in state legislatures that really are convinced of the lie as truth, that the US was to be a Christian nation.
So with the red state’s full out attack on true history, civil rights, and a flat out drive to enforce a theocracy of their religion and only their religion, what do we do?
Seriously I am at a loss, I feel we are losing this fight. How do we reverse this and return the country to a sane path? Thanks. Hugs. Scottie
