So even though I am still not feeling well, some things have to be done. Another 90 cats for about 73 + dollars. This should take us from now until early into next month. I hope. Both Rona Dan I have decided no more pets family members. We just can not afford the costs with caring for them. Hugs. Scottie

It’s sad to have to look at it that way, but also responsible and the right thing to do. Corky’s getting older, and I keep thinking she’s secure enough here she might like another doggy for a friend, but the shelter dogs, even the seniors, are all 30+ pounds, and I’m not sure I can afford to feed another big dog, who likely eats. Corky is quite persnickety, and “watches her figure,” though she’s healthy. She eats slightly less than the food box says she should, but everything works right; Doc says when they’re seniors, let ’em have what they’ll eat, and eat what they will as long as they’re not overeating. She knows where the food dish is, and it’s never empty.
Dang kids. I mean, pets.

Hi Ali. Yes, it takes into account our failing health and lower income. But … I am realistic. Ron with his soft heart will see or find a new four legged furry friends to keep and be taken in by us. Ali my big worry is not so much lack of funds, it is time. I have known people who have died leaving pets / furry family members behind with no one to care for them.
As here in this neighborhood we don’t have family who would take furry family in for us or care for them, if we die suddenly which can happen to people our age … who would care for them or help them move to a no kill shelter. But we will see, maybe we will figure something out. Hugs. Scottie

It could be a thing to network, even on this blog, to see if/what people would be willing to do if/as/when it is necessary. For instance, I cannot take cats, because our son is deathly allergic-I have to wipe down if I pet someone’s cat-but I’d be willing to help fund a pickup of your kitties, or if someone is close, I’d help fund care. Within limits, but I could help. Instead of sending it to Animal Rescue, I could send it there, as an example.
Let’s hope it won’t be soon, but we could help get things set, and you and Ron could relax about that part. 💖💜🐈💖
