  1. A tragedy that was bound to happen. In a nation where gun ownership is becoming rife, along with fear induced by random violence, along with the public reaction over mass killings, along with adrenalin running high and the fact that you or your buddy might get wounded or killed.
Yeah, high chance he was going to get shot. When someone is waving a gun in that atmosphere I just described the response is not going to be ‘Can I see your ID?’
Maybe he intended it that way, maybe it was ‘Death By Cop’.

    Gallows Sarcasm warning…….
‘But gun owning devotees will be happy. After all the Bad Guy got killed by responsible officers before he could do any harm. Let there be rejoicing. All is as it should be’

    1. Hi Roger. Yes yes, yes! The ammosexuals claim that the more guns the safer we are, everyone should carry a gun at all time. This despite all evidence that the more guns in society the more dangerous it is, the more police have to be even more militant to deal with even the most minor thing because the person might be armed to the max. Every study shows a gun in the home is far more likely to kill a member of the home than an intruder. If the people of the US were not trained to never look how other countries do anything and that the US is always number 1 and perfect in all things, we would see that other countries don’t have this issue and have dealt with it before.

In truth the problem is far too many people in the US, mostly insecure men who think the myths of the wild west and the idea that a gun equalizes everything and the bigger gun makes them the bigger man. Seriously. They think they look more manly having it, carrying it, and they will be a trained special operations seal team six member to save the day when some cute girl is in danger and she will then give them wild sex forever. By my dogs that love gravy a 1/4 of the US adults are nothing more than insecure picked on high school kids that failed every class yet convinced themselves it was the fault of everyone else not that they did not try. This is driven by right wing media that pushes the idea that masculine men have guns and are right wing, that guys on the left are soy lovers non-meat eating guys who are wimpy and gay so have no guns.

I have posted a bunch of stories where a person in a grocery store dropped their purse and their gun went off, or some other stupid accidental gun discharge. I have posted story after story where an untrained civilian who carried a gun whipped it out thinking they could stop a bad guy stealing for a store or otherwise being John Wayne is saving the day … only to shoot everything but the shoplifter and endangering the actual police and all the bystanders. These same people shoot kids at car washes that won’t turn their car stereo down because they feel they should be listened to, because they have a gun. I have seen traffic accidents explode because an angry person pulls a gun and shoots someone. It is so crazy, yet the myth continues to be pushed by crazy right wing media so they can push gun sales for the manufactures to make more profit. In the US profit is king. Hugs. Scottie

      1. Yep. A nation with more guns than adults, a high proportion of whom are being whipped up in a frenzy by Con-spiracy junk, blasphemous preachers and Right-Wing radio rabble rousers with addiction problems.
        What could possibly go wrong?

PS: I read of a few years back about some poor klutz who tried to rob of all places a gun store in Texas, one with customers in. The police couldn’t figure out which one was responsible for the killing shot and in true Texas style dropped the whole case. Not too sure of the entire veracity of the accounts, but it seems as near to the true as plausible.

PS ‘By my dogs that love gravy’ I love that phrase, I might well start to use it ….Credit given to you of course!😀

        1. Hi Roger. No credit needed. I came up with it to avoid saying “by god …” or something like that.

As for guns and mass shootings which seem daily now, it is making people afraid to go to events or crowded places. When out, Ron and I are very aware of our surroundings. Hugs. Scottie

          1. It’s a keeper Scottie! 👍

I agree with you there and understand that, as a parent and grandparent I can only imagine the tension amongst some folk sending their children off to school and worrying about them until they come home.
