Interestingly, I did a search, because the Mellon family has been infamous for years for trying to destroy the US by not paying even close to their own share. It was a Mellon, later on, who bankrolled the years-long Clinton scandal stories, before the election and during the first admin; that brought before the notorious trio of Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter, and Barbara Bracher, who married Theodore Olson. He’s sort of maybe vindicated himself with some decency since Barbara was taken on that day in 2001 in one of the plane crashes. So, imagine my consternation when the USA Today story at the link above doesn’t tell that this Mellon is yet another of those Mellons. However, during my search, I saw another USA Today piece, with the same headline, that does include that info. Maybe they slid it in later. Or something. Anyway, it’s always important to include, when rich people are trying to wreck things, that it’s greed because they don’t want to pay their own way. Even though their wealth is ancestral, rather than earned. Sort of makes these bad acts reprehensible. IMO.

    1. Hello Ali. I think your opinion is correct, as I normally do. Thank you for the added information. It is amazing what the wealthy have managed to do for themselves to ensure the burdens of paying for the country lands on the shoulders of the poorest people least able to afford it while the wealthy play in luxury with no concern or cares. Other than making even more unneeded money. Hugs. Scottie
