Remember what Romney said about the impeachment? He said other republicans told them they wanted to vote to convict but their wives and kids had gotten death threats and when Romney told them he was going to vote to convict the were shocked saying he shouldn’t do that as the tRump supports would kill him. i decided to watch a bit of fox news last night, something i never do. but i was curious to see what kinds of things they would say about the trial. no wonder people who watch fox news think biden/democrats/the left are evil incarnate. fox news is a travesty.

Hi Susan. Very true. These people that watch that station and other right wing opinion channels get constant hate propaganda fed to them all day. Studies have shown that the brain chemicals send good feelings to the body when angry and outraged, but the problem is to keep getting that same feeling of outrage you need ever higher doses of the thing outraging you all day. Fox knows this and if you see their show line up you see the start semi tame but strong right wing to totally unhinged full outrage talk by the late night shows Countries that don’t allow those kinds of hate broadcasts often don’t have the polarization that the US and other countries do. just another day in Trump-world…it is just what they do. and if he manages to actually win in November, plan 2025 will begin and America’s democracy will die completely. I am, quite frankly terrified for our kids and grand kids.

Hello Roger. Yes but the crazy thuggish way the right has gotten to heights of frenzy I can not understand where these people were hiding, where they grew up. I was just listening to a podcast that read a bunch of these posts and outcries of sending armed me to kill those in charge, make every one understand that tRump was never to be restrained or hampered by authorities. Too them he is the cult leader chosen by the highest god to rule over the entire country to make all their grievances get better. I just realized what the maga are … the party of aggrieved unhappy people who blame their lives on others. Hugs. Scottie

The Culture Wars and the Plague of Conspiracies by both Right And Left have bred a fear of uncertainty and a lack of unwillingness to engage with Progress or Reality.
The same is happening in Europe, the rise of Right-Wing parties and the continued Left’s preference to accept Moscow’s line rather than anything out of their own capitals.
There is a malaise of Disconnection. Which aided by the Social Media availability spreads like plagues of old (I’m just reading a book of the ‘medieval times and covering one chapter to do with plagues of the 6th century CE- the parallels one physical on mental are sobering).
