  1. Hi Scottie. I stopped by your blog to see if you’d posted anything about the potential hurricane and whether it would reach you guys. In the process, I saw this video –by someone other than the usual “howdy folks” guy!– so I listened for a bit. She’s pretty dry as compared to and needs to loosen up a bit, but I was more inclined to listen to her.

    Anyway, I sincerely hope you won’t be affected by the approaching hurricane … you certainly don’t need anymore damage!!

    1. Hi Nan. I hope you have healed up well. No, the tropical storm went well wide of us. We are getting the feeder bands of rain and strong winds. Ran falls of 2.5 to 5 inches in some places. Winds or up to 35 or 40 mph also. Nothing big. Our roof leaks have all been fixed so this one won’t affect us at all. Other than us having to keep the inside outside cat in for two days. He thinks he is a prisoner now. Thanks for checking in on us.

      As to Mrs. Beau. I don’t care for her as much. But she has the same facts as he does, same no sensationalism so many YouTubers have, so I keep watching. I understand Beau’s issues, he has the ranch and also his community outreach along with the disaster relief stuff he does and doing four videos a day was stressing him out. So He is taking a break and letting the wife do the videos while he does his other things. Hugs. Scottie

      1. Yes, I’m much, much better! Still some residual shoulder and wrist pain, but the stuff that was pretty much keeping incapacitated has eased off considerably. Not 100% yet, but getting there slowly but surely. Old age has a tendency to slow things down. 😉

        Soooo glad you guys are safe! As soon as I saw that the storm was heading up the coast, I was concerned.

        So that’s his wife? Huh. Interesting. Maybe she’ll loosen up after awhile. Of course I’ll never know … 🙃

        1. Hi Nan. I am glad you are healing up. I keep watching her and she is adding her own style to it. She uses her name now not his. She gave a brief of her history, She is a military veteran, both as an enlisted and as an officer. She had a lot of experience in stuff I can not remember.     I like her. She speaks more rapidly. Not too rapidly, but she makes her points and keeps going. FWIW. Of course, I agree with what she says.

    1. Hi Ali. Nan also likes her. I am not impressed as much by her as I was by him. Maybe it is the timber of voice or style of speaking. I notice a lot of my YouTube followed channels are male hosts. I am not sexist and I have female channels I watch, but I just noticed the majority of mine are male or lower pitched voices. I don’t know if that is the content or am I attracted to male voices? But she has continued his no nonsense no sensationalism videos so I keep watching and liking. Hugs. Scottie

      1. No worries! I saw a new face, and thought I’d give it a try. Sometimes, it’s figuratively painful for me to sit through one of his; I know that’s his style, and I’m certain it’s painful for people to read what I put down when there are seemingly thousands of words, so we’re even steven! 😊

            1. Hi Ali. You’re doing fine, it is OK. He may be back. But I think Beau is really wanting to do the road stuff and the hurricane rescue stuff he talks about doing so much. If he comes back some I would like it, but I also enjoy the content of Belle. She gives the same content as he did, she is not unpleasant to look at, but it is her voice that gives me pause. She sounds thin and reedy. I can fix that by adjusting my equalizer program, so no biggie. Hugs. Scottie

      2. I see upthread, that’s Mrs. Beau, so I think it’s awesome that they’re both into keeping this up.

        If you could look at my books queue, you’d see the rare male author (except Terry Pratchett, who I’m trying to collect; Ray Bradbury, and Kurt Vonnegut.) Anyway, I admit to being mildly sexist. I am careful to not apply my sexism to other people unless/until they prove they’re deserving of my judgment. I’m thankful to be able to do that; it’s in a little compartment, every now and then “I told you so”-ing, but it’s not active. I just feel that women can tell stories better, especially stories about women, and women’s issues. Although, I saw a short YouTube the other day with a young man doing a poetry slam performance about why he’ll not allow his boys to play with dolls. Whew!
