OK let’s talk in the heretical Right, in a way they would ‘jive’
This ‘Revivalist’ the Reverend Ed Trevors is talking of is a blasphemer who is listening to the whispers of Satan. He will face this as prophesised by Jesus Christ, in the Gospel of Matthew
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Is that extremist going to argue with Jesus?

Hi Roger. Thank you for your comment. I love that some people care enough about their fellow creatures on this planet to help them. There is something in those people worthy of praise. Those that are the opposite who see others only as a way to get gain for themselves are lacking what makes a decent society worth living and possible. Those people who see others not as people to help but fleece and harm, I would love to believe will get their just desserts somehow. Stay strong in your faith friend, I believe you are doing good works. Hugs. Scottie

Thank you Scottie.
All who yearn and try for Compassion Respect and Tolerance throughout Humanity will find themselves challenged For many this can be to the point of despair and thus losing their beliefs. For others it is worse they succumb to justifying violence and the things they are fighting against, for their cause.
For two theistic examples. In Islam there is the concept of the Jahid Within, which some see as the most important, the fight to put aside evil and greed within oneself. For Christians there is a similar battle going on, daily, for it is so easy to start to become ‘the thing you hate’; fighting fire with fire. This is dangerous it can lead down many a road not intended.
Both Islam and Christianity share a belief that those who had lived sinful lives will face a punishment for their sins ‘After-Life on Earth’. Exactly what that is has been a source of debate at many levels.
Basically it is a testing thing to try and hold onto the teachings of Jesus Christ, every day – a believer should accept we all slip and stumble, but have the chance to make amends and try and do better, every day.
It’s not a question of beating ourselves up – more ‘Hmm. That y’know could have gone better. Sorry God…I’m trying’…..but means it and battle on.
Never said it was easy🙂.
Thanks for your kind words Scottie, I will try and keep on keeping on.
Best wishes
Roger & Sheila.

Looks like WP lost my first comment:
So…take two:
Firstly the Rev, Ed Trevors is preaching the true revival, the true meaning.
Now let’s get down and talk a talk that maybe the Right will understand….but not like, but because they have no argument to it.
This fellow Joel Webbon is a blasphemer and a listener to the whispers of Satan. Jesus Christ made it quite clear what would happen to folk like him who spout hate:
It’s there in the Gospel of Matthew people:
Does the arrogance of Webbon extend to the belief he can argue with Jesus Christ, Son of God?

Perfect!
I also wonder about that arrogance you mention. Then I worry that I’m being arrogant thinking it’s arrogance, but then I realize I’m human and only have so many words, and arrogance is the best I can come up with. sigh. It works well with what you write.
Sometimes I gotta go with Bartcop’s (an old blogger I read back when he was blogging) theory that they actually don’t believe in God at all. He said if they believed, they’d never do and say the things they say and do, because they’d be afraid to do and say them. So the christian nationalists are, indeed, the wolves in sheep’s clothing. And we can, certainly, easily recognize them by their fruits.

I would suggest Ali ‘Exasperation’ might be the more apt word.
Exasperation that they seem to believe they can tout their perversions as the word of Jesus.
This is not new and not unique to Christianity or even Religion.
Take any belief system of any sort and you will find those who ignore the core message and take selected teachings out of context to suit their prejudices and the frightened little corners of their minds.
“So the christian nationalists are, indeed, the wolves in sheep’s clothing. And we can, certainly, easily recognize them by their fruits.”
Well said and spot on.👍

Hi Ali. They follow the god they made in their image. The god they created and use to further ends, not to bring the faithful to Jesus or heaven but to line the people in charge pockets with ever more money and to give them more fame and power. The losers are the flock who follow these false prophets. Hugs. Scottie

Hi Roger. I replied to your first one but this one has something I would like to respond to if you have the time. Does the arrogance of Webbon extend to the belief he can argue with Jesus Christ, Son of God? Is what you wrote, and to tell you my thoughts on it, I think they create their own religion. Yes my view is these hate preachers, these prosperity gospel preachers, they are not following the words and requests of the Jesus of the bible. If the bible is their holy words, and the Jesus the way to the father … why do they not try to be like his words say to be, to be like his example? You and Ali are far more qualified to lead people in Jesus name than these people I think. Instead these people misinform and twist the words of Jesus to con the faithful for more income and power over them for the preachers gain only. They use something from the Old Testament that Jesus said he fulfilled already to hurt and bash others, they use fraud and deceit to scam, deceive, and fleece their flock. When I was in the church boarding school they constantly warned us the devil and his demons would come to us as pretending to be good people only wanting to help us and give us the things we wanted just to help us, telling us misinformation and twisted things from the bible to get us to believe them. But all we had to do to protect ourselves was to look for when they would ask or tell us that we needed to do something against the word of god in the bible. We could spot them by the attempts that would be small at first but get larger to draws away from Jesus. That is how I think of these people. It is not the Holy Spirit they are filled with. Hugs. I agree Scottie.
They bring their own prejudices and intolerances undiluted to the table and then commit the sinful act of seeking out selected bits of the Bible which they claim supports their views.
They shows a complete absence of meditation upon the teachings of Jesus Christ.
They would have cheerfully stoned a women adulterer :
John 8:10-11: “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more”. – said Jesus.
They assume a great deal when they preach hate and say it is in the name of God.
I thank you deeply for your comments about being more qualified. I’ll step back though, I have much internal work to be done to sluice out my own darker side first – if given a crowd of followers who knows? I might end up as bad as Webbon, but coming from another direction.
Like I said before ‘It’s not easy’
Take care you guys.
