Thank you Scottie. I hope my experience on Election Day is better than what you described. I’ve been told that “traditionally” there isn’t really much of a line at my polling place. I wish in-person early voting was possible here. It’s not though.
You probably remember that I am having surgery five days before Election Day. My close friend who has had the same surgery assures me that it won’t be a problem. I do hope she is right. But no matter what, I will cast my ballot. After all, this is a major swing state.

Hi Janet. Please have a friend go to the local drug store and get a wheeled walker with a seat. They are not expensive and for you to have if there is a line right after surgery could be a game changer for you. I couldn’t have done it without mine. It is the standing that I can’t do for any length of time. I really hope your surgery goes grand for you. Hugs

Thank you Scottie. If I’m honest with myself, I’m not emotionally ready to take that step just yet. Especially for what will be only a short term disability period. But I might take a folding camp chair, just in case. 🫂

That’s why I love it here in Oregon. Got my ballot in the mail Monday and filled it out while having breakfast Tuesday and since it was such a nice day I walked it down to the library just a few blocks (major point when buying our house many years ago) away and was was done by noon. Now to sit back and watch a blue wave cleanse our country and look forward to all those Magat tears flow.

From your keyboard to the universe…
I’m fairly sure of a blue wave, as well. I’m beginning to dread the aftermath, but it seems it must be, since Bush v. Gore. Republicans are such sore losers!
I went, and voted in person last Wednesday, the first day we could. That part is a relief. The last batch of postcards go out tomorrow. Now that these things are done, anxiety is creeping in with the overload of the Don information. I’ve had far too much of his hate, his incitement, and that awful bronzer he’s using these days.

Hi Ali. Thank you for all you have done for the blue wave cause. We need more than the Presidency, we need to get the Senate and the House if we want her to be able to pass laws and install judges. I keep hearing / reading that tRump plans to declare he won before the news stations announce which states are won so he can rile his supporters up. He wants to do what he did in 2020, declare he won about 10 pm and then he will rile up his maga cult to stop voting, try to throw the vote to the states, and sow as much confusion to delegitimize Harris as much as possible. Like you I am anxious about the election and I am sick of tRump and his cult. Hugs

Hi Muttpupdad. I love it, and wish voting by mail was so trustworthy all over the US. In Florida I simply don’t trust the mailed in ballots to be counted, they have information on each area the ballot comes from and they find ways to throw them out as invalid. One real issue is my signature. I did not have such nerve damage, neuropathy, shakes, and severe tremors when I signed my driver’s license the first time. Granted I did get a new one like four or more years ago but it has gotten much worse since then. My doctors want me to get a neurologist for CRSP and Parkinson. So unless I do it in person there is no way they approve my signature. I had to do it twice sitting on my walker with a stylus on one of those sign in pad things. In a decent blue state with a decent government I would do it with more confidence. As for the blue wave I hope so. But tRump and his people say he is going to claim he won early before any states can build for Harris. For him it is all the showman ship and spectacle, not truth or reality. Hugs. Scottie
