It’s Fall!

And I might get a doggy in a little bit. I hope we all enjoy the day!

    1. Well, my fingers are crossed. She’s a little 8yo pug, not a terrier, but the person who told me she’s a terrier is a cat person, anyway. Her photo looked like a pug, to me, also not an expert, but I kinda know dogs.
So she is adorable. She starts out shy, but a couple of deer jerky bites brought her right in. After a few minutes of talking and pets, she even put her forehead against me, which made me cry (not loud or ugly.) I am not the first person to apply for her, but the other people have other dogs, and one couple member doesn’t think it will work. Also Maggie (in case I didn’t write that) will have hernia surgery on Tuesday, then be in recovery a couple of days.
So, presuming I get to have her, she’ll miss the foundation work, which will be good for Maggie to miss. With all stars aligned, Maggie should have her favorite sofa spot chosen, and know her way around the house and yard, by this time next week.
Or, it will be another doggy sometime soon. I did let myself get attached to Maggie; her story is that she was used for puppies-not a puppy mill, but that was her purpose-contracted a tumor, and her people couldn’t care for her and relinquished. The shelter has taken care of the tumor which was benign, but she’s got this hernia, but that will only take a couple of days.
Or there is some other doggy in the universe for me. But I am hopeful, and she’s a charmer! She kept walking me over to the door, like she wanted to leave!💝

      1. If you’ve written about her before, I missed it during my enforced hiatus. I was miserable, and didn’t have the spoons to even try to determine which posts I could safely read. So I just didn’t read anything. But now? “I Am Woman” and “I Will Survive” are my fight songs. And that’s where I am today. Being able to see the end of the road for these post op issues has made a huge difference.

        1. I’ve only written about her here this morning, or maybe her and MPS? Anyway, I only saw her on the shelter’s webpage last night, and ripped out an ap (they have me on file as wanting small seniors, but ya gotta put in an ap or they don’t know you want someone.) So, this morning is all I’ve written, you missed little to nothing while regaining your strength. I was hoping it would be sooner than later, for you!🌞
