  1. Nice!

Mine’s 5 years old. I am the artful dodger of cameras. Mostly all that’s changed is my hair color (mostly white with brunette strips, and my glasses are different. I happened to get this one one morning in 2019, it worked, and that’s it.

I like yours, Scottie! You take nice photos of yourself.

    1. Hi Ali. You photo looks wonderful. I can see why you don’t change it if it still looks like you. My hair has also changed color a lot, and my side burns have turned white from the red they once were.

Sadly I am at a point in life between exercise and diet my face and body are constantly changing, as is my hair length and color. But the problem has been getting a decent picture using the setups I have or having Ron take one with my phone. Thank you for saying I take good pictures of myself. My problem is I always think I don’t look good in any picture. I am my own worse critic. Ron looks at my videos and loves them, all I see is the places the camera makes my face red. Also I think the camera makes my face look fat and have a double chin hanging down. Ron understands my insecurity and tries to reassure me, but it is nice to have others say it also. Hugs

      1. Well, what I actually meant was not as much that you literally take good photos though you do, but that you are a good photo model, I guess. I’ve picked up some “local phrasing” since I’ve lived in S. Central KS, and “You take (or make) a good picture” means both that you look great, and/or that you are a skilled photog. You are both. I should have thought of being clearer!

Losing weight after having gained too much definitely makes a difference in the human face! But I also look too hard and closely at photos of me but not of others. One of the better things my stepmom told me was that if people are looking at me as closely as I do, they deserve to see whatever it is. I took that as nice, anyway. It meant to not be so self-critical, because so many people don’t notice the things we do, about our own appearances.
