    1. Hi Suze. Yes she is. The funny thing is that recently a republican in congress admitted that the drive to force Europe to use much more of their countries budget to fund their military and NATO was to make it so those countries couldn’t use the public treasury to help the public in the country. It was making the US look really bad that these countries could have high wages, social programs, free education, and high standards of living … yet the US couldn’t. Because in those countries profit is not king like the US. Hugs

  1. Yes, she makes a good point. To the corporation, it’s ‘just business’ or ‘the bureaucracy’ to help depersonalize the process of denying claims and making profits from someone else’s sickness. But the sick and their families rightly take it very personally. And yes, of course people get pissed.

    1. Hi Michael. Yes in the US profit is king. It has been drilled into the people since the 1980s. Remember when the slogan greed is good was brandied about? The US is trying hard to force European countries to put a lot of their GDP into their military for the express reason of not having the power to help the public with social welfare programs. Something the republicans in the US hate and the progressives in the US wish to emulate. US congress people hate being reminded that other wealthy / developed countries can do what the US can not manage to do. In the US profit is king, and that drive for ever higher profit kills the goose that lays the golden eggs. There is only so much you can squeeze out of the lower income until there is no more to give. The US is headed back to the 1900 gilded age and that is not a good thing for most of the public. Hugs

      1. Yes, I read that the other day about NATO, GDP, and the military. As was asked then in that post, what fucking business is it to the U.S.? And the answer is, yes, just as you stated. That’s just evil, man. Profit is king, sure, but greed is queen, and wealth is the god. Hugs ‘n cheers

        1. Hi Michael. I really like how you ended that. I think I will borrow that. Greed is queen and wealth is the god. So spot on it hurts to even type it knowing my country now lives under that. Dogs (cats) that love gravy have mercy on us as we are going to need it. Hugs

    1. Hi Eurobrat. You put it so clearly and so well. The industry makes it money by denying people needed care. That is the entire goal of the industry. Denying people the care they need and pay for is how they make their money. If we removed all insurance companies from the healthcare system and used those premiums for healthcare it would save people money and they could get the care needed.

The studies have been done. It is cheaper for the US to go to a single government healthcare system for everyone than the current system but that would remove layers of profit built in that raise the cost. The wealthy love that built in cost as it is profit for them. They crave it. They don’t care about the people dying or hurting, their goal is profit. That is what is wrong with the US system. Hugs
