The Trump transition team wants the incoming administration to drop a car-crash reporting requirement opposed by Elon Musk’s Tesla (TSLA.O), according to a document seen by Reuters, a move that could cripple the government’s ability to investigate and regulate the safety of vehicles with automated-driving systems.

  1. I guess we’ll have to wait for a pregnant woman to lose her pregnancy while in a substandard automobile that crashed before this picks back up.

    (For the record, that sentence initially said “pregnant person” and “their pregnancy”, but then I realized that, no, it would have to be a cis woman for it to matter to this upcoming admin.)

    1. Hi Ali. Profit is king now in the US. Musk is not only now in charge of the very agencies that are to regulate him … he paid $250,000,000.00 for that right. Don’t you wish the people, the public could just decide who would make the rules over them? The goal of the wealthy is to return to the 1900s when the government had no control over businesses and the wealthiest people ran the area of the country they were in. FDR changed all that and they hated him for that. Reagan started the return back to that time. If people don’t soon wake up we will be back into the gilded age of the robber barons. Hugs
