MAGAers are angry after Donald Trump announced his inauguration is to be moved inside, causing many to be left out of the ceremony.
Although the president-elect announced that some attendees can go to the Capital One Arena for a viewing party, many were prepared to brave the cold.
Freezing cold temperatures and strong winds are expected to hit D.C. on Monday. The last time an inauguration was moved inside was for Ronald Reagan in 1985 under similar forecasts.
NBC Washington went out to break the news to Trump supporters who planned to attend the inauguration.
“I don’t like it,” Trump fan Ken Robinson told the outlet. “We came all the way from… Oklahoma and now we’re not getting to see it. We might as well have stayed home watching on TV.”
Jorge Gonzalez, another supporter who traveled from Florida, said that the news “sucks.”
“We’re prepared for the weather, it’s not a problem,” Gonzalez said.
“We have farms,” said Harry Troyer, another Oklahoma resident visiting D.C. “And we don’t get to not feed the cows because it’s cold.”
Others posted to X to express their dismay with the decision as many who were planning to attend having already traveled to D.C. in advance. Thousands of chairs were seen outside the Capitol on Friday, set up before the event was moved inside.
“We have coats and will wear them. Already bought expensive hotels, rental cars, subway tickets etc etc,” one user wrote on X. “We the people were prepared for the cold. We want to see Trump in person. Rain snow sleet warm cold it don’t matter.”
“Spent thousands of dollars on a hotel room and now they aren’t having an Inauguration for the public,” another wrote. “Wtf.”
On Monday, officials were beginning to give out more than 220,000 tickets. On Friday, they were then told to tell attendees that their tickets are now “commemorative.” The arena only has a capacity of 20,000.

This should be an object lesson to many that personally he does not give a happy damn about them. Only those who can bring money or a rabid and violent following

And a message, also, to those who try to tell us that the issue was grocery prices. If the issue was grocery prices, how did these voters suddenly have the thousands of dollars they’re claiming they’ve paid to get to and stay in DC? Did they stop being hungry for several weeks?

Good point.
But never underestimate the ability of deluded folk to twist or ignore facts.

Hi Ali. While I think many low information people voted on that the maga cult that went to the capital for the 20th to see the convicted felon move into the White House are simply cult members that buy all his merch, making him more wealth than he ever made as a none president. Hugs

Hi Roger. He wants loyalty and money, but mostly he wants to be fawned over. His ego needs constant good boy worship from everyone. Look how often he claims that because his uncle went to MIT he, donald tRump convicted felon, is a very smart person. That is how his mind works. He wants his maga thugs to be his enforcers and “Brownshirts” when the law is against him, reality is against him, and people are stopping him from doing an illegal act. That is why he is demanding loyalty pledges from even the lowest levels of government or get fired. His will be the new law of the land. It is going to get bad. His nominee to be Sec Of Defense is refusing to say if he would carry out illegal orders like to shoot civilians not committing a crime or even honor the Geneva conventions. WTF. I bet Ron next month we will start hearing of his demanding a third term. Hugs

I have to press home this point Scottie.
In a nation with massive access to firearms, an adult population of 260 millions (approx) 70 million of whom did NOT vote for that creature a programme of open Intolerance and Intimidation will lead to a kick back.
And part of that kick back if this administration press home their stupidity will lead to a violent resistance by a minority.
